Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game in which players are able to attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Locations from the Wizarding World franchise will be explorable such as the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade. During character creation the player is able to choose their appearance, house, and gender. Players will be able to customize their character's voice, body type and add accessories such as glasses in character creation. Level progression will allow the player to access and upgrade different spells, talents, and abilities.
Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 1890s and follows a student starting at Hogwarts in the fifth year. As the player is starting at the school later than other students, a wizards field guide is given by the Ministry of Magic. Completing sections of this guide through exploration provides additional information and experience points. The player character, who holds the key to an "ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart", is capable of manipulating a mysterious ancient magic, and will need to help uncover why this forgotten magic has suddenly made a resurgence and the ones that are simultaneously trying to harness it.

This series was definitely not my favourite one that Brad has done. Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed. The way he rushes through the main story and goes out of his way to not do a single side quest just makes the whole series feel forced and rushed.
I would've loved to see some side quests. Even the main quests feels rushed. He blatantly ignores stuff right in front of his face to rush the main path. This felt more like a speedrun than gameplay, imo and it feels like if it weren't for Youtube he would've even skipped the cutscenes if he could. Yet he claims to be enjoying the game, but it just doesn't feel like it at all.
I just watched the entire Elden Ring series and it was so fun to see him be curious of the world, explore, etc. This one he's not done a single side thing. It's just made for a truly lackluster series, imo.
I get that there's many games coming out now that he probably wants to have time for. It's a busy couple of months, gaming wise. But I'd rather he simply skipped a game and had time to do 3/4 games properly instead of 4/4 with super rushed content. A shame truly, because this game was fantastic and some of the side quests are great.
He always says he wants to continue the content after the main story is over, but we all know, he never does. And frankly, after the main story has been rushed and is over with there really isn't much of a point to continue side quests and learn stuff, nor would it be super fun to watch compared to just doing it dynamically as the side quests pop up. I personally would happily watch 6 hours of side quests before watching 5 minutes of the dark arts arena battles.
Think this is the only negative review/critique I've ever left on a Brad video. Since 2011.

Honestly though ignoring side quests means your not really showing off the game since most of the areas in the game are tied to side quests and spells that you'll never get because your speed running the story and nothing else it makes it quite boring if you want to speedrun don't play open world games I love your videos but I get so annoyed and I know other people do as well because you don't show the game off really your just doing the same things the devs did just farther in so really your not showing alot slow down and enjoy the game it isn't about speed people want to see more than just the story
