Thanks so much for the shoutout - our episode on the Starship launch is going to be coming out before the weekend. Hope to see you in the chat!
@Schildhuhn Says:
Lowest quality video I've ever seen. They're not making it 100 times cheaper because there's no competition. They're already the cheapest, why cannibalise your own profit?
@user-ho9fq7bm7v Says:
i doubt that the communist rocket should compared to the rockets today. Its testing , analysing and inventing. Bro, make some scientific analyse about this topic and not a biased opinion of you. I noticed that you went very biased after you gain alot of subs. Delte your channel, no more internet money for you.
@csnipper524 Says:
His simps need to comprehend that no one wants Musk to fail, we just wish he would stfu and stop lying all the time.
@csnipper524 Says:
Elon was all but saying expect failure, and for once in his life he was actually being honest.
@TMCNJ Says:
It’s funny because, if Thunderfoot really wanted the money, he could’ve just kept quiet and used his science knowledge and keen sense of bullsht; and played the stock market. Thunderfoot is so bang on the money about all of these companies, it’s really entertaining tbh…
@donwald3436 Says:
Save us FElon!
@Winticket7 Says:
wait ..so because they didn't make an effort to create flame-diverters on the pad, they damaged some engines/boosters (not sure) and that is why it blew up few minutes after launch? Soooo....if Musk pulls more millions out of the tax payer, maybe the next one won't blow up? At least not in the atmosphere? 🤔
@That1ufo Says:
This video didn't age well
@Andrewdrs2WilliamsonYT Says:
At this point every time Elon opens his mouth 💩 comes out 😊
@djmjay2 Says:
All of his self-praise regarding being the first or the best at everything reminds me of someone else that makes similar claims. I can not picture who that person is but the colour orange keeps coming to mind.
@paulchen9145 Says:
3:42 hmm that’s crazy if Starlink is so commercially unviable then why did they announce 3 months ago that Starlink is now at commercial break even point I wonder? And all that without Starship even once transporting Starlink V2 satellites to orbit? I love your comically stupid chain of thought of this one: Thunderfoot: Starlink V1 small and ok -> need Starkink V2 big and good -> need big starship instead of small falcon -> starship delayed -> disaster vs. SpaceX Engineers: Starlink V1 small and ok -> need Starkink V2 big and good -> need big starship instead of small falcon -> starship delayed -> let’s make smaller Starlink V2 mini satellite for the time being -> small and good -> fits on Falcon without need for Starship -> no big deal easy money
@Paul-ey1ct Says:
Did we even go to the moon? Im starting to doubt it 😮.
@oosakasan Says:
One of my favorite scenes in Apollo 13 is them in the middle of the disaster, switching from the command module to the lunar lander and Jim Lovell just calculating numbers by hand, then asking Houston to check he has them right and all the busy bees at the control center get out their slide rules (...he had them right). Semi-relatedly blows my mind how one of their first responses is to turn off the computer and turn it on again. Wait... don't you need the computer on to make the ship, like, work? Nope. It really inspires in me the alternative Moon Landing Conspiracy which is that it happened but aliens were involved because how could humans in the 60s possible have had the technology to do this? I don't want to say "clearly it wasn't that hard" because clearly it was but it's impressive just how little computing power the whole thing required. Then I look at how Crew Dragon has touch screens and I freak out just a little bit. Star Trek is very cool but I'd rather the spaceship you could turn off, navigate with a pencil & a steady hand and survive plz.
@kristianalbl1044 Says:
i thought that falcon 9s are being reused tho, is it similar situation to space shuttle?
@JabelldiMarco Says:
Wasn't one of the trick of the Apollo program that NASA didn't place all it's eggs in on basket in form of one partner, but bet every important part on several independent manufacturers so that only one of those had to be successful?
@rubevaughn Says:
I can't stand Musk but I think the saddest thing right now with the space contracts NASA is handing out is that space x is the only one coming close to hitting their timelines. Like the vehicle to bring astronauts to the space station. We're still waiting for the second attempt by Boeing Starliner and they were supposed to hit 2017 for their first flights with passengers. This is why Musk looks to so many like a genius.
@mattromano5146 Says:
How and why are his projects funded by tax payers?
@Mr_Hertz_Donut Says:
There’s no amount of money that could get me in a Tesla let alone in a space x rocket!!!
@erichaynes7502 Says:
It took Elon 4 tries to get the Falcon to orbit it will take Elon 3 or 4 tries to get the Starship to orbit. Once Starship becomes operational(3-5 years) Elon will have the first fully reusable rocket in history.
@rhobot75 Says:
Regarding STARLINK.. and gosh I hope seen by the channel, maybe.. OK so random that i also follow a superyacht channel?? Like, news and stuff about rich jerks and rich wierdos. Well! Just last week the big news, the "gamechanger" for superyachts is they are all getting STARLINK, and I thought about the video about STARLINK not being viable and thought bout boats all alone on the ocean sucking up all that glorious bandwidth. Till they all get back into port, of course, because video explained but then I suppose they hop onto the locals' internet service.
@attractor9 Says:
why do they ask a total liar questions. that makes NO sense.
@Murphydeffa-oq8lm Says:
That aged well :D "Over a year before you can do anything here again"??? Blunderfoot year. Next comes video how he was right by distorting facts etc.Trying to make hilm look like expert. personality traits - High Ego, Lack of knoladge. Again blunderfoot style - Making look line blundefoot is expert pitty old man trys to talk himself to be expert :D Pitty cos others can succeed in life and make things happen while he rots in home and only achivment in life made NaK go boom. Any thing left for him is armchair wannabe "expert". It wont matter what you talk, it matters that you make thins HAPPEN. Blunderfoot your talk wont do anything for world. absolutelly nothing happends. Thats the whole reason you beg money in youtube. Incompetance paired with self confidence is called stupididy. Elon dose things and yes he FAILS on many things but also succseed in many things. Why you don't fail- cos you don't succseed, simple. Elon hypes are advertizments, isnt that all advertizers do? Also you pretending to be expert on all areas? Iterative design WILL fail, thats part of procress, yes recless etc. You can ether sit 10y discuss and plan all failure modes or you can do things in 1y by just being recless and test things to failure. Anyway Blunderfoot is comedy show, And i will repeat again, if you can do better - do it. Untill there is no RESULTS, all your talks are just - BS TALKS, meaningless words in order to make living with this comedy show. And no, making NaK explode with water is no result, it has no practical uses nor its new.
@justinverser2102 Says:
Why do people think this guy is so smart again?
@Hakushodemon Says:
yeah this is totally a person id feel confident in letting them install a brain chip like neuralink into my brain. seems totally safe. jokes aside you should do a video on neuralink and how many animals elon killed testing it
@user-mt1uw8ks9c Says:
Thunder, what do you think about what Elon said to the leftists blackmailing him about advertisements?
@NiteshadeX2 Says:
Dear Mr. Thunder. I don't expect you to see this. But you was right. They was wrong. Everyone needs a hug. And have a nice day. ❤
@jessestone117 Says:
18:10 Not exactly a year it would seem
@erichaynes7502 Says:
Starship launched for the 2nd time after 6 months, not 12 lik Thunderf00t predicted. Also, all the engines worked close to perfect all they need to do for the next launch is light the right engines at the right time and they'll get to orbit.
@jasonmccormack1190 Says:
What's truly sad is that it doesn't matter to those Fanboy people; Clownworld at it's best...
@ITILII Says:
"Failure is not an option" - NASA flight director Gene Kranz, during the successful rescue of Apollo 13 ...Failure is our legacy - Spacex, never mind all that...we'll get to Mars by 2060, that's giving yourself just a little bit of leeway there Elon....maybe you can combine the Mars mission with Tesla having a FULLY autonomous Level 5 vehicle by then (at a Level 2 now and not without many problems such as crashing and running people over)
@chargerification Says:
Beware of false idols.
@JinKee Says:
We gonna get an update video today?
@jonathanmay7508 Says:
The same thing happened with falcon rockets though, who's to say they don't continue to make it better?
@PT-mj3bk Says:
and today shouldve flown 90 minutes but lasted something like 9. way to optimistic this dude
@MrVolodus Says:
18:05 ... so 6 months it seems .
@jonathanlazzara2086 Says:
Starlink is ground based, it's not a dish but an antenna.
@hamdaniyusuf_dani Says:
They are going to try again.
@coldspring22 Says:
Starlink sucks. I use verizon home internet at my rural home and it's freaking awesome and it butters my bread too! Verizon costs a fraction of what starlink cost, and no weather variability and no equipment charge. If anything breaks, verizon replaces the equipment for free! How awesome is that?
@allynfornow Says:
Hahahaha I love this channel. What an intro 👏 👏 👏
@paytonestrada7746 Says:
same scrolling through channels at the end
@Jack-uy7ie Says:
I know it is the bane of engineering but isn't the area directly next to the launch pad a conservation area. In which much agreed to repair and replace the complex bio diverse organisms in the marshlands. Musk investors are so screwed.
@patricktaylor8173 Says:
Was it the wireless cellphone charging?
@fuzzbuzz6581 Says:
Things definitely take time and people as consumers aren't going to put money behind something that isn't going to be flushed out for 20 years. I don't know what you honestly expect. Like how would you develop the tech? Then what would you do if you can't get people to invest? I think what Elon is doing is what has been done by every new thing created. You have to get people to see the future of it like you do. Sometimes you have you use tricky wording and tactics.
@ZaidAdams Says:
The Earth is Flat. No man can leave this place. It took a shady South African to back up Nasa's lies to make American's believe this nonsense.
@GrapeFlavoredAntifreeze Says:
Every SpaceX mistake is Elons fault and the laundry list of all of Spacex’s successes have nothing to do with Elon and only his engineers, thats why not a single other space company can accomplish the same thing, right thunderf00t? You seem more obsessed with Elon than Elon cultists lmao
@kkfine5631 Says:
I don’t think you’re considering national security implications for starship. We can flood the orbit with so many satellites that it makes the concept of ASAT obsolete. In any hypothetical conflict with China, whoever wins the orbit will win the war as well. If you see how many milsat launches they’ve been making, America is on a path to a military disaster without massive boost in launch capacity
@joshlewis575 Says:
Watching that guy soft toss a baseball at the indestructible window and shatter it is always funny, especially musks reaction to it. Imagine having that big of a public flop and still keeping the con going. Amazing what cult like behavior does to people's ability to think.
@muuubiee Says:
I don't think Elon is really involved that much in SpaceX. In some interview with EverydayAustronaut, elon "realized they should do hot gas thrusters" or whatever, in not only the booster stage, but both.... What probably really happened was that Elon missed some pointers in his briefing, and didn't know they were already doing it on both stages. He probably makes decisions, or pushes for deadlines, but I really don't he's at all involved in any larger magnitude... So, hating on SpaceX is not hating on Elon, they're very separate. Gwynne Shotwell is COO. Merlin engines can never do rapid reuse, is still pretty much has to be picked apart to clean up. It's questionable if raptor can do it either, because of the oxygen rich pre-burner... But it produces less soot, therefore might not need much cleaning, so it might be more viable. Like, for one rapid refuse before it's refurbished (which is necessary for any viable mars mission).
@rars0n Says:
"I was going to take this weekend off, as my first weekend off in a long time, but instead I will be on the Raptor line all night and through the weekend." The guy who does nothing more than setting insane deadlines and making public appearances has it so tough, he can't even take a day off! He's going to be hovering over the peons the entire weekend because they're too inept to deliver on his lofty promises. "Unless you have critical family matters or cannot physically return to Hawthorne, we need all hands on deck to recover from what is, quite frankly, a disaster." Read: "My promises were so ridiculous that we didn't just fail to meet them, we spectacularly failed while attempting to meet them, and now its all YOUR fault. You better have a damn good reason for not working overtime or you're going to be fired." The problems are all of his creation, but yet he still expects the people who work *way* harder than he does to work overtime to fix the problems caused by him. I don't understand why anyone still willingly works for this man.
