The lack of sleep part was amazing to me as I used to work in EMS and regularly worked 24, 36 hour shift with little to know sleep because of the volume of calls

You need to talk to an experienced (ie older) psychoanalyst to discuss what helps re talk therapy and getting better re ptsd, anxiety etc. No academics. They dont know usually. Ive worked in the field in all types of settings w all types of patients for over 20yrs.

Been an insomniac for most of my life. Audiobooks have been a lifesaver for me when I started getting neurological problems in my mid 30s. My sleep is now much better and haven't had any problems in the last decade

I'm incredibly inspired by this material. A book discussing these subjects was a catalyst for my personal growth. "Unlocking the Brain's Full Potential" by Alexander Sterling

The idea of a collective consciousness in humans did not come up. That our awareness is all somehow connected. A side story on this, when my friends and I would do psychedelics together, there would be nothing going on at all, but we would all have the same ideas and series of ideas at the exact same time. We were sitting still, zoned out, but started physically reacting at the exact same time in silence...for several minutes. Someone finally pointed it out that everyone was moving at the same time, and we started comparing what each other were thinking. We realized then that we were all on the same train of thought. And it was always a train of thought on the topic of putting two and two together with how the world works. It was the most bizarre thing thats ever happened to me. It was like we could come into the exact same wavelength when we let our minds go offline on the psychedelics. Has anyone else experienced something similar??

Amazed by this. I would have really enjoyed if there was some visual content prepared for some of these examples. Nonetheless, I'm enraptured.

I loved all of this! Dr Poe uses her hands alot when talking about the different regions of the brain.. I'd love to see her do a more visual format. If this had animations/visual representations of how different things moved in the brain while she explained what was happening, I'd probably watch it more than once.

So I'm like 2/5 through watching the complete and I'm anxiously awaiting to see if he asked the question does subliminal affirmations work meaning when you're asleep and you're playing so-called subliminal affirmation little messages, is it beneficial? Or in other words do subliminal affirmations work????

Jim kwik teaches and talks about memory retention while being active or having fun check him out. I watch your show because you have phenomenal people on that gives tips and insight that is crucial to living a fuller healthier life and I think you’re going to crack the code on memory Renton hacks. I share your same sentiment I learn all that I can learn consistently but my recall to that information is a bit unorganized

Talking about memorizing things better or coming up with great insights while walking I once read in a book introduction something like this: 'If anyone saw the philosopher Immanuel Kant strolling past the X church they could be sure the clocktower was about to strike 3pm' as Kant was extremely methodical with his habits. Who knows some of his insights happened during those walks of his. I've also read that while Einstein was walking in the vicinity of his house one night he suddenly conceived of the 'curved universe'. There's something to this thought-walk connection and I would venture to hypothesize it's something we developed during our hunter-gathering existence, when walking and looking for resources, be it wood, fruits, nuts or animals we preied on paired the brain functions of heightened awareness, alertness and strategizing together with that of walking.

Tom, your programs are good fit for me. Listening to your shows are equivalent to reading books. Being a dyslexic I always buy books but can never finish them fast enough to promptly benefit when I need that information. Well now I can. Keep up the good work Tom

I ALSO HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE as Dr. Poe. I was EXTREMELY upset about something and I was walking outside and I just cried and cried when a voice from "just outside" me said, "You're fine, you're Just Fine." and I started to listen to this very interesting voice and I repeated to myself saying, "OH, I am fine, I am just fine! and I started to feel better and better until I was in a very blissful state and completely transformed! '

When did we start lashing out to prove that we were not going to be treated like that by anyone it's different levels for different people. But is it why we act like we act today when it comes to negative things? In most cases we can't blame our parents they didn't know how to raise us wanted the best for us, it's hard to raise a child you can't read a child's mind.thats all I can say

🥰 A math video game works great for me too! I like to play Sudoku on a device. When my mind is going 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 over and over it isn't fretting about did I do enough chores, what's going on at work tomorrow etc.? It is the concept of counting sheep, except goal oriented so it keeps me focused on it.
