ahh but capitalism is A-ok right, thats why people are starving in the streets in America (the richest country to ever exist) that's why even your own values of traditionalism are being crushed by the very system you support because it's more profitable to do so

Religion can be allowed within a socialist country run by a communist party. It just depends on who the leader is.

We all have sinned against God, and that makes us deserving of hell. Yet God loves us sooo much that, ““For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16! If you repent (to change your mind about God, to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that He is our God) and put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then you will be saved! And do not wait either, because you do not know when you will die. And once you die, it will be too late. God wants to save you, even right now, because He loves you more than you know it!!

The real problem with communism is that is puts the government in the place of God. People are forced to become slaves in order to obey their rulers. The concept of individual rights has no place. The government owns and controls you. Sounds like utopia to me. Let's go, Brandon!

Communism sacrifices the individual for the good of society.. but if no individual matters, then no one matters. The system matters. It is not a moral system. It removes individuality. It may work for bees...or ants...or even pigs in a pen. But for humans it is the most brutal, murderous system ever devised

Communism don't work. I lived in a household where my siblings got jealous on how I saved my money, had more than them, and they spent theirs. They cried when they saw what I had at one point. I was FORCED by my mother to share my money with my siblings out of their greed for wanting to spend money on what they wanted. And, that what when I was a child. Communism only cares for the man that can obtain power and works to get them more money when in power.

I have gotta disagree with this one, though i very much dislike the state athiesim of the soviet union and similar countries. It did work, It pulled millions of people out of poverty, and provided lots of jobs and great opportunity to people. The cia even agrees that soviet citizens had higher average caloric intake daily per capita than the usa until the mid 80s. The disalusion of the ussr was flat out illegal and provoked by cia operatives in the union. This wasnt a failing country, the internal structure of the party was a bit iffy, but the country was as a whole doing really well. In fact the dissolution of the ussr was the largest single increase in poverty in the 20th century apart from ww2.

Of course communism works because there's some people use communism for their personal gain and they take advantage of its ideology,we shouldn't abused this ideology, because people will used it of greed,inequality, environmental cost,human welfare ignored,class conflict, social injustice,market failure, monopoly like capitalism.
@mbkkt9094 Says:

@bobboggano9201 Says:
Hey Frankie, I dont think anybody is really trying to sell communism. We're just trying to make adjustments to capitalism to make it more fair to more people who are working. Yer so damn smug.

@ghastlyghandi4301 Says:
I mean, communism has worked in quite a lot of places actually. Even here in the west, socialist revolutionaries in the us and Britain were able to pressure regional governments enough to enact many social policies that we take advantage of today; such as 7 hour work day, the free weekend, and in Europe the non-privatised health service. Even in places more influenced by socialism things have end up better now then they have been prior to socialist presence. In the home country of my grandfather, Grenada, the socialist led government was able to raise the education rate from little over 20% to 98% in just a couple of years. And countries like Mozambique and the republic of Congo are countries that have some of the highest quality of life in Africa, and they both were lead by socialist governments. When people mention the shortcomings of socialism, they only mention the soviets and the Chinese, while sure they weren’t too good at improving life for their people. External pressures from the west, political instability, and prior lack of development with large populations caused these nations to be a lot slower to modernise. But even then these countries were still able to make life better for there people. back during the days of the Russian empire, most people lived in medieval style villages and towns, and most people living there were uneducated and poor. But even after the world wars and the dawn of the Cold War, the soviets were able to get most of their citizens in appartements and teaching them to read by 1960. But I’m not saying the Soviet Union was a great place to live in, my point is that socialism and socialist governments have consistently been a force of good on the world that has been restricted to do good things by foreign forces trying to stop it out for their own self interest. If you actually read up on the history of “failed socialist governments” you’ll find that the west has had a major hand in all of those countries’s downfalls.
@JamesFlemingIreland Says:
At the risk of pointing out the obvious, and it's been pointed out hundreds of times by serious historians and analysts, Stalin was a rotten dictator who betrayed the Russian people and the revolution. It's well known to anyone who's even read moderately on the subject that Lenin attempted to stop Stalin usurping power. It's written about in novels. It's literally the main theme of discussion over the degeneration of Russia and the revolution. The mere existence of Trotsky and his works are a thorn in the side of Stalinists and capitalists alike who fear working class revolution so much.

@gorillaz_jbi Says:
Motives are much less important than behaviors. We all know this. If someone has good intentions but treats people badly, those good intentions mean nothing. As it is with individuals, so it is with governments. Capitalism might sound less noble than Communism, but the individual pursues success to the best of his abilities, that’s capitalism, versus everyone shares everything equally, that’s communism. But it is capitalism that has produced freedom, and it alone has lifted millions from poverty. Meanwhile communism, has kept millions impoverished and without exception, crushed freedom. Capitalism for all its imperfections, enables a decent society. Communism and whatever it’s stated intentions, leads to evil. Yet increasingly people either ignore or deny the evil of this ideology. Which within a period of only 60 years, created modern totalitarianism, and deprived more people of human rights, and tortured and killed more people than any ideology in history. How can we explain this? Well, there are two ways. The first is IGNORANCE. People just don’t know the truth about communism. The second is WILLFUL BLINDNESS. People know the truth, but choose to ignore it because the truth about communism’s horrors is too painful to confront. Given the SAD state of our educational system, most people fall into the first category. They just DON’T KNOW. So let me offer some facts. But before I do I need to address another question. “Why is it IMPORTANT that everyone know what communism did?” Here are three reasons… First, we have a moral obligation to the VICTIMS OF COMMUNISM not to forget them. Just as Americans have a moral obligation to remember the VICTIMS OF SLAVERY, we have the same obligation to the billion VICTIMS OF COMMUNISM. Especially the hundred million who were murdered. Second, the best way to prevent an evil from occurring, is to CONFRONT IT in all its horror. The fact that many people today, especially young people, mention communism as a viable option for modern society, proves THEY DON’T KNOW communism’s moral record. Therefore, they do not properly FEAR COMMUNISM, which means this evil could happen again. And why could it happen again? That brings us to reason number three. The leaders of communist regimes and THE VAST NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HELPED those leaders, torture, enslave, and murder, were nearly all “normal people”. Of course some were psychopaths, but most were not. Which means that ANY society, including free ones, can devolve into communism or some analogous evil. Now some facts. Based on the authoritative, “Black Book of Communism”, written by six French scholars, and published in the United States by Harvard University Press, here are the numbers of people murdered by communist regimes….not soldiers, but ordinary civilians. And these numbers are CONSERVATIVE. Vietnam - 1 million Eastern Europe- 1 million Ethiopia- 1.5 million North Korea- 2 million Cambodia- 2 million Soviet Union- 20 million China- 65 million Of course these numbers do not describe the suffering endured by hundreds of millions of people who were not murdered. The systematic stripping people of their right to speak freely, to worship freely, to start a business, or even to travel without party permission. No non-communist judiciary or media. The poverty of nearly all communist countries. The imprisonment of vast numbers of people. And if course the TRAUMA suffered by the hundreds of millions of friends and relatives of the murdered and imprisoned. These numbers don’t tell about the frozen millions in the vast Soviet Siberian prison camp system known as the Gulag Archipelago. Or the Vietnamese communist routine practice of burying peasants alive to terrorize other peasants in supporting the communists. Or Mao Zedong’s regular use of hideous tortures to punish opponents and intimidate peasants. People associate evil with darkness. That’s not accurate. It is easy to look into the dark, but it is very hard to stare into a bright light. One should therefore associate evil with extreme brightness, given that people rarely look at real evil. And those who do not confront real evil, often make up evils. Like systemic racism in 21st century America. Or toxic masculinity or patriarchy, that are much easier to confront. The Book of Psalms states, “Those of you who love God must hate evil.” If you don’t believe in God, here’s another way of putting it, “Those of you who love people must hate evil.” If you don’t hate communism, you don’t care about, much less love, people.
@michaelgentry402 Says:
Communism is just a dictatorship in disguise. Real communism has never really existed, except in a book, because people are to evil to allow it to work.

I have no disagreement with Dr. Turek on the issues with communist economics, but it just surprises me that he thinks that in this case we should listen to human nature, when in other cases he argues that our human nature is sinful, and that we should turn away from it. Let's also not forget the organization of the early church as described in Acts 4. Just read it and see how "communist" the people who had personally known Jesus believed their community should be. You may be surprised.
@Squishysforbreakfast Says:
Funny, a nuclear family is one of the only places communism works in but Marxists want to destroy the nuclear family for communism.
@unholydanger Says:
Democracy works better because men are sinful and wants a king over them when God should be the King (1 Samuel 8:5-22), before there were any kings and presidents and lords, God was the only King and leaders were the Judges in Old Testament. But Democracy does not work for long too, look at today U.S., and many places around the world, people work for minimal wages at long hours while the kings and presidents and bosses work at minimal hours for maximum wages, the rich and the poor gap is causing a social problem where the rich has everything while the poor struggles. Now also look at how the US society is crumbling down with 28 trillion debts when the rich and powerful spend on wars and domination. China, a communism country is overtaking the US economy in less than 10 years time.
