To be fair with the bonus, his ability to generate money for the company in flows from stock purchased, especially with the failures of the company at other levels, gives more substance to the argument that he himself and public perception of him is what generates the most money for them. They're currently at roughly 87 price to earnings ratio. He's still got the touch among some investors.

As much as I understand your viewpoint and partially agree with some arguments it's unfortunately very far from reality. I substantiate this due to the fact that he recently bought himself into the federal government with some powerful friends like trump, it's unlikely he will go down at least for the next 4 years. So no matter how poorly Tesla sales are (Q4 has beat the eps) not to mention space X just landed a super heavy booster and is preparing for flight 6 as I'm writing this, so again it's highly unlikely that he will go anywhere near bankruptcy. One thing I have learned over the years watching Elon critics is that the harder they try the more they lose. Lesson being never bet against Elon, he will win, especially now that he is at the apex of his enterprise.
