One of my favourite games of all time. I remember my parents buying me the bongos and game from Toys r us. Good memories
@davidgabel2085 Says:
In hindsight, DK Bananza really seems to be shepherding that Jungle Beat energy.

@pepticmars9365 Says:
Video is called Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Used half the video on not takling about Jungle Beat
@Ethan-yd4gn Says:
The first Donkey Kong I ever truly PLAYED was DK Jungle Beat on the Wii
As a kid, I was both horrified by it, AND entranced by it. Ended up really enjoying my time with it from what i can remember
Imagine my surprise when I realize most DK games ARENT about absolutely pummeling the shit outta other monkeys, and are actually just 2d platformers thru and thru
Between this game and DK 64 (a game i only got to mess around with a little before i really understood games), I got an extremely skewed idea of what the Donkey Kong games were, and yet that was the DK I grew to love. So I won't lie, every time I tried a Country game I always ended up being disappointed, as it just wasn't what I wanted from a DK game
Come 2025 Switch 2 Direct, and the game of my banana-filled dreams gets showed off for the first time, and I can't help but get emotional and a little obsessive about how cool it looked
I am beyond overjoyed about Bananza, and I have also since come to appreciate the Country games (as I've been playing Tropical Freeze), so I couldn't be happier to like Donkey Kong right now

This video completely blew my mind.
So many memories unlocked.
@calebpowell7418 Says:

@AlwaysVotingMAGA Says:
Why is he called Donkey when he's a Gorilla?
@jacobr8063 Says:
Elden Ring? That’s from Jungle Beat.
@UNDFTDGordon Says:
Dunkey has exquisite taste in music.
@Guachimolete Says:
Anybody knows the name of the band shown from 1:21 to 1:25? Love this video btw, just want to know the name :))))
@jacketsand Says:
Wait a minute… I think the hand slap from Bananza is also from Jungle Beat. 2:25
@Bwugwugwug Says:
0:25 for the pain of clapping, pros learn to wear gloves while playing and don't clap, just tap on the clap sensor microphone
@andreasbraun6155 Says:
That vintage photo of 1900 japan depicting 1990s Nintendo is classic.
@goober2138 Says:
I love Jungle Beat! It's one of if not my favorite game and is why i like DK so much
@MaxWoods-v1q Says:
I have jungle beat & the bangos as a kid. So ahead of its time. This & double dash were stand outs in my GameCube childhood
@BirthdaysParty Says:
i see way more similarties now between this and bonanza than i do with any other donkey kong game, which is a good thing maybe well get jumglebeat on the NSO gamecube section
@Lagzlot Says:
Tapping the plastic rings on the side of the bongo also counts as a "clap", which makes Jungle Beat the greatest Punch-Out game because you're physically leaning slightly to the side to dodge the punches.
@fizzx6317 Says:
This video came off as very heartfelt and genuine to me.
I like it
@N0m0regam3rs Says:
And now the studio has Donkey Kong Bananza coming out. The circle is complete!
@skeledavey Says:
and the line curves back around to Bananza, and the circle is closed...
@porygon4023 Says:
there are 2 types of donkey kong games, the subtle, natural and atmospheric ones (country & tropical freeze) and the insane ones where the developers were high on substances unknown to science (64, jungle beat, and now bananza.)
@dankybongbluntry420 Says:
And now Bananza
@antoniolewit7852 Says:
Looks like it’s coming full circle now
@nojpodge Says:
BANANZA
@TheYatesman Says:
Anybody know the live band footage that was used during the Donkey Konga theme part 1:21-1:27?
@maximillianquaife-larsen3799 Says:
That was actually a banging game
@fwoqma Says:
2:29 sonic
@Cosmic_Trooper21 Says:
I was 8 when I learned that you could slap the side of the bongos instead of clap
@MxMaker Says:
I need to try this game, pretty sure i will enjoy it more than Galaxy.
@DandiestDaoist Says:
Hello from 2025, the studio went full circle and made a new donkey Kong game coming up this year and now watching this video makes complete Sense on why they did it donkey Kong Bonanza is donkey Kong jungle beat 2 for the switch 2😂
@CrownlessJade Says:
I wish more people loved this game.
@hersonflores8832 Says:
DK Junglebeat had an edge to it. All of the bosses looked cool and tough. I remember buying it just cus of the cool cover 😎
@MageAtYou Says:
03:29 It just shows how professional and planned Nintendo is, this was absolutely deliberate and meant. Mario is the bigger franchise, better to use DK and them improve stuff to Mario release.
@TemplarBlonic Says:
I played this as a kid. It's a fond memory of mine that my mother got it for me-- and me specifically, and I played it almost daily for a year. Loved it so much, and I wish we could play it on modern hardware with the bongos. Hitting those things was beyond satisfying.
Very, very fond memories of that game. It was truly one of a kind and if anyone would happen to get ahold of it and play it-- please do yourself a favor and do so.
@bagelgod946 Says:
And now there making donkey Kong again
@SturmAH Says:
Now … who will beat Bananza with the bongo controller?
@Halalmeat5000rh Says:

@Jackalopods Says:
Finally found where that footage of people dancing to the Donkey Konga theme was from. Live version of Get Down Tonight.
@idekfate Says:
this game made me stimm like never before
@HyperBird1 Says:
Can’t you use the controller though
@longerhandleisntavailable Says:
I wonder what Koizumi is doing now lol
@seriousspikesam7770 Says:
The Donkey Kong? That's from Congo Bongo. Which doesn't actually feature any bongos now that I think about it.
Bingo Bango Bongo is still one catchy of a song-o.
@yyygyy1 Says:
You didn't have to clap, just tap the side of the bongos for the same effect
