Every year on my Birthday, I'd get a blueberry muffin for breakfast with a candle in it. When I had back surgery, I had one in the hospital and it got stuck in the back of my throat for 4 days straight. I was immobile, and no amount of water fixed it. I had PONV too, so that just made it so much worse, because I then had a sore throat, AND a muffin aggravating it. Safe to say I've had about 2 blueberry muffins in the 5 years since, and they''ve both been out of social obligation. I don't hate blueberry muffins, but I can never look at them the same. Kinda like finding out the nice elderly man who you've lived next to for half your life was a Mafioso and did some horrible things.

You'd really think the applesauce flavor would come through more, but after a family member tried to make applesauce muffins and offered me one to try with them, we both confirmed the flavor was essentially nonexistent. They made a second batch with like double the applesauce and even then it didn't change anything.
