BREXIT was an IQ test for Britain, obviously you failed.
@guydreamr Says:
Yup, it's almost like severing economic ties with your largest trading partner might be bad for your economy.
@euphoricbliss6699 Says:
They were never going to make it easy for us to leave, Brexit is the only thing the British public can and should be proud of. I don't care if it made me poorer, you don't get benefits for coming out of prison, you get freedom! What you choose to do with it afterwards is down to our pedo politicians unfortunately who are and always will be in bed with the deep state

I love UK. Lived there before and some short time after the Brexit. I know the Brexit will be a disaster. Remember some of my British colleagues saying to me , they don’t care if they will live in the cave after Brexit, they just want to leave EU. But now when reality hits, they are no longer so pro Brexit anymore. I think Uk will join EU again in 8-10years.

Brexit.

I've sort of lived through a civil war and it's the exact same pathology. A country or a group goes on an economic or social decline and they always search for outsiders to blame, always gathering around the same bullshit demagogue politicians. And by the end everybody is worse off. People never learn.

After the invasion of Ukraine, only foolish people cannot see why this was pushed and backed by russian millions.
@georgeh6856 Says:
The thing about Brexit which was so obvious is, who would have the trading power after Brexit: the EU or the UK? The UK has a much smaller economy than the EU. The UK needs the EU much, much more than the EU needs the UK. Therefore, the EU gets to set most of the trading rules. So the UK did Brexit to make their own rules, but now after Brexit the UK still has to abide by the EU's trading rules. That does not even touch on all the other things the UK gave up, like freedom of movement, less red tape, etc., before Brexit.

Isn't that just democracy in action?

@neorock6135 Says:
You were hardly the only person calling Brexit a shitty idea. And it was certainly NOT such a unpopular opinion. Countless ppl knew it was insane to leave the EU, called out the ppl pushing Brexit & were even pushing for a 2nd referendum. Majority of folks on the left side of the political divide saw Brexit for what it was, a bigoted experiment by white nationalists.
@ehpilgrim Says:
At least they didn't exit NATO
@cube4313 Says:
But what would have happened if the UK had stayed in the EU? Look at Germany and you know it, at the moment we experience a deliberate destruction of our economy, because the current EU (and the Euro) has a problem: Some countries have low debt and a good economy and the others have high debt and a bad economy, but we have only 1 interest rate. To even that out the EU has to buy bonds of poor countries and sell those of the rich countries. Do you really think this can go on forever? Thats wishful thinking, some day in the future we will have a huge crash, we have only delayed it to the future. But you can solve the problem if you make the rich countries poorer and flood it with immigrants to destroy their identity which happens right now. Problem nr2: We speak many different languages which means workers are not as flexible as in the USA. The only real positive thing about the EU is its free trade regulations. Edit: Another problem is of course the UK goverment, because despite leaving the EU the goverment is still the same, many of them are WEF puppets and will continue with their agenda. For example immigration: The UK still suffers from mass immigration and that was one reason why the UK wanted to get out of the EU. Besides, the UK had a better recovery than some rich states of the EU, Germany (whose EU politics ruins our country) for example.

Communist traitor Boris stabbed the public in the back. The 'conservatives' are maybe a bit less progressive than Labor. Otherwise they're full communists seeking to destroy what is good in Britain.

lol have you had a look at the stat of EU? I bet you have... Better to say your right before it all go down the drain. Is German and France predicted to drop out off World’s top 10 largest economies... EU going to brake apart and the old way of how EU will return an focused to contrys down and around Italy... UK wont get dragged down by the fall of EU like Germany, France, italy and Scandinave... Norway will be UK new gas station. Just a lite tips i got from someone named Jeffrey Sachs exept for the gasstaion part that i added... I order my Nintendo web shop from UK becuse Scandinavia doesn't have one, it got sent thru Irland no tull payment etc i beleve it was close to 50€ cheaper than if i had buy it in Sweden on release day the new oled one. UK's problem going to be renewable energy and the Ukraine war it have funded sens 2016 non of that is an EU problem rather an USA problem... Read this leaked RAND report from Jan 25 2022 it leaked a week after the war... wadenholt.se/Rand.pdf

I voted remain and proud of it, yes the EU is not perfect but we as a nation had a say in it and now we don't. I never fell for the crap sprouted by Nigel Farage who got a nice earner from his MEP days although he won't admit it. Brexit was just about him making good on his comment to the EU 5:08, it was just a point scoring exercise and now we are suffering because of it. 52% is not the will of the people it is smidgin over half, 48% did not wish to leave and what has the government done to appease that 48%??? Not a thing. There was no roadmap, there was no plan. Farage even said that if the vote was 52% remain and 48% leave, he would demanded a new referendum. As the vote was the opposite, he denied even mentioning it and as for the bus with the £350 million to go back to the NHS, well that was the ultimate lie and disgusting tactic. Nigel and co have convinced 52% of the country to cut of it's nose to spite it's face and now we are facing the brunt end of things. HOO Fucking RAY!
@funknunkl Says:
Who benefitted from Brexit? Surely it wasn't just a big 'oops-a-daisy, didnt know it was going to play out like that'. The politicians sold it vehemently as a good idea (with bullshit lies). Did they know it was a bad move? Why did they want it so bad?

I love you thunderfoot because you don’t talk about things that can’t be tested or adhere to the scientific method. Politics is a personal choice but it has seeped into our science community with good scientists pushing pseudoscience for there party. You can believe whatever you want in regards to political choice, but don’t ever let me catch you spouting nonsense because of a political party.

It seems that the point being made by those who wanted to remain, is that it's now been proven that it's much better to carry on being abused by Brussels than it is to go through the messy, painful and intentionally punishing divorce process after 50 years of marriage, compounded by self-serving, incompetent domestic politicians who have no plan. While I do admire the pragmatism of Remainers and their calling the politicians to account, under these conditions, it must be said that either remaining or staying is a no-win for the people. Put simply, when you're threatened with a beating if you ever dare leave your house, it's not a win to sit forever inside, happy that you've done the right thing in saving yourself.
