Love the interview. Tony Abbott is as wise as Jordan. If you are not Russian and especially not President Putin, then there is your argument. They learn from history. Never let another country interfere with our way of life. N A T O is a nothing but a war machine organisation in disguise.
@dandawes2111 Says:
Fantastic interview! As a young Australian I never fully appreciated his intellect and have only witnessed constant character assassinations of Tony. Clearly he is extremely pragmatic and balanced in his perception of both Australian and global issues. Such as shame to see our country depart from this solid logic.
@NZ-outdoors Says:
Don't lower your standards Jordan, he'll have you eating raw onions
@leonharrison800 Says:
That Jordan Peterson even interviews Tony Abbott is clearly concerning!!! Abbott a far Right Catholic and a total imbecile.

Two decent people who struggle with understanding the complexity of just about every aspect of clean technology and nuclear power development in Australia, be it the engineering, unit economics, scaling potential, payback periods, lifecycle carbon assessment, incentive schemes, energy resilience, the initiatives actually going on in Australia at this point in time. They're definitely on the left of the Dunning-Kruger curve hahaha
@playitbleghhd Says:
Wonderful.
@timothyappleseed2986 Says:
Australia is known as a prison country. The way they acted during covid-19 reinforced that perception.
@zaspect4919 Says:
As much as I respect the men in the video, I do find their views on climate unfortunate. Yes, there are people on the extreme left of the debate who have nonsensical views on the issue and would like to see a deindustrialization of our economy.
But we are lowering the quality of debate if we deny the importance of reducing emissions to limit climate change, or if we present strawman arguments, like suggesting the Germans banned nuclear power to cut carbon emissions. As for the Chinese, last year they built in their country as much solar power as the US did in its entire history. Shouldn't we do something?
The key point is to respond to the science, and use human ingenuity, creativity and technology to address the problems rationally, without getting distracted by ideology.

This was a great interview to hear the thoughts of a former Prime Minister, who was heavily demonised and unfairly criticised by the media.
I agree with almost everything he has said, except for his stance (as well as JP's) on the Ukraine/Russia war. I still fail to see how anybody can merely disregard NATO's involvement in pushing for and ultimately causing conflict over the years, especially after their criminal atrocities of the past, such as that with former Yugoslavia. Or do you both just not know that history?
@edgarmorales4476 Says:
A True Spiritual Leader will be able to show people how and why the mindset has created the calamities and horrors which have been created in "consciousness" and are only just beginning to make themselves fully felt in our midst as diverse forms of pestilences, earthquakes, floods, famines, wars, revolutions and other tragedies. Be assured! No evil which comes to earth is a "natural disaster." Everything inimical to our perfect welfare is bred first in our "human consciousness" and then given form within the global experience. This is what Jesus tried to tell the Jews when he walked the earth - and WEPT - when the Jews laughed and refused to believe. Instead, the Jews called Jesus a madman.
Let not the churches make the same mistake!
Because the churches have been moribund, cemented into rituals and dogmas, priests and pastors have been unable to meet the evolving spiritual needs of ardent seekers of Truth. As a result, the churches are emptying.
If the churches are to endure, the churches must put aside their differences and have the humility to accept that inspiration does not necessarily come to earth in ways acceptable to themselves. The churches must remember that Jesus was not acceptable to the Jews.
The churches must keep open minds and hearts to receive whatever they intuitively feel is a Higher Truth than that to which they presently cling... and to abandon the old religious beliefs which have permitted the selfhood/personality to take control of human thought.
Therefore, pray sincerely, with all your soul, mind and heart - for true enlightenment - rather than a reiteration of old and false beliefs. Wake up and accept that these rituals and past beliefs have not fulfilled the words of Jesus to humankind, when Jesus promised that "greater things than he did" would we do.
Meanwhile, until true enlightenment comes to you - (after much meditation and prayer) - teach, demonstrate and live:
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
with all the strength of soul, heart and mind - minute by minute in your daily life.
Because - to combat the global destructive consciousness forces, humankind must make every effort to move on swiftly to the next stage of its development.

Points: nuclear leading countries: Russia - building in Turkey, Bangladesh, Egipt. Finland refused, so french nuclear station in finland took 18 years to be completed. Please let me know if this is working.
Then green agenda and thus deindustrialisation (apart from US) is all from the collective west.
My question is to what moving the world forward. And then, what does US do to stop it from happening? Let me answer for you - wars in Ukraine ("lets deter russia, lets stop NS2, lets put nucs to eastern europe, lets fight for last standing and will support as long as it tajes") and taiwan war -(lets drop one china policy, lets deter china, lets encircle china"). Please let me know one reason free people should accept this approach? Please bear in mind that political supression, big no to free speach, control over population is the reality of the west long before 2022.

Jordan, I love you as a person in general, and the game you're playing, I admire your brain and the mistakes you learnt from.❤
But Tony Abbott isn't honourable being an Australian and being a person who paid attention since I learnt that ability Tony isn't what Australians need but there isn't any party in australia that have the Australians interest in hand it's worse then America because there isn't any coverage over the bs they keep under raps 😅 love ya Jordan iv learnt more from you then I had learnt from my own patents thank you.❤

A man with a great deal of integrity, too much integrity for politics, who was brought down by a traitor who was also a vile person. Such a shame, but i think we in australia are finally working out who was the good guy. I really admire Tony Abbott very much.
@ausmoney802 Says:
I am really dissapointed with how I once perceived Tony Abbot, living in Sydney it seemed that everyone hated this man so strongly with a passion that they'd think differently if you didn't have the same opinion. I never had a chance to truly listen to him speak which again is devastating having judged this person without really listening to a thing they've said. This bloke is an utter genius and says it exactly how it is. True warrior, strong character and Austrlaian through and through.
@mitchellemmett1780 Says:
Tony was a really good priminister but the free trade agreement helped kill off Australian manufacturing. we can't compete with china's prices plus people are getting crap products that don't last long and end up in land fill.
@boosisa2 Says:
Abbott blew off a cabinet meeting to go fight bush fires, stark contrast to Morrison who blew off his duties for hawaii.
@Fadeing Says:
How much political economy is wrapped up in the non-nuclear low emission industries?
Is nuclear considered to be less of a profit center compared to the other systems?
- In other words; could it be personal interests pressing policies against public interests?
@larissajaneryan Says:
I have low trust in Abbot. I agree re Nuclear combined with solar/wind/water. However, the water security issues here are extreme and sadly result from lack of intervention from the back to back liberal governments hesitant to adapt for fear of losing favour. Seems like we have a massive lack of fire management and passable preparation (this years fire season has started early btw) Of the conservative past leaders Malcolm Turnbull would be far better placed to speak on environmental and social issues.

@gengarpokemon7731 Says:
we went through 3 prime ministers in a year. that's how corrupt, uneducated, delusional and misguided our politicians are and now we have a brain dead prime minister and part running the country into the ground just like the democrats are doing to the us.

@chrisvstar Says:
Do both these guys have a screw loose?
Some have commented on Tony Abbott being a legend for helping in the bushfires.
There's a reason those are happening more frequently and with much greater ferocity; and yet both speakers here appear to be harping on about the evil/narrow green agenda that denies a better or wealthier existance.
The insurance companies know climate change is real. That's why they charge such insane prices today.
People in weather affected areas can't afford it! I daresay the Australian government can't cover the cost of the damage that climate change has and is continuing to introduce.
It's a shame these 2 can't see any sensibility in the green movement and stopping the extraction of fossil fuels.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
Economic benefit of digging that up and selling it, vs the danger... I just can't get my head around the logic of these two.

Tony could have been a great Prime Minister, but he made the mistake of being gracious to his enemies. Once he'd won, he extended the hand of friendship, and was promptly stabbed in the back, front, and sides.
@Chris-od1jp Says:
Abbott has been pushing nuclear energy for over a decade, saying it has zero emissions while ignoring the environmental disasters and devastation of some of the most beautiful lands in Australia uranium mining has caused. His political career and appointments since have been backed by the mining lobby, that's why he repealed the carbon and mining tax then channeled billions into funding mining companies.

Quite possibly the worst Australian Prime Minister to ever be granted that honour by the Australian people. He single handedly destroyed the Australian auto industry and thousands of associated businesses. He was a crass misogynist who provided no leadership and was a stain on Australian democracy...oops. I forgot, Scott Morrison.
@katerinak7628 Says:
I'd like to know more about Abbotts take on nuclear energy, how would he deal with catastrophic malfunctions and what about nuclear waste, how would that play out?
@Divocwax Says:
Abbot was portrayed by the Australian media as "old fashioned" and "out of touch" and "rooted in the 1950s". I remember when Turnbull was the tech savvy man in Abbot's ministry. Abbot described him as having "invented the internet" - young people could not understand how he could possibly be PM making errors like that as they see life in "correct" answers. It was embarrassing for Abbot and young people alike.
