RFC1925 rule 11 Every old idea will be proposed again with a different name and a different presentation, regardless of whether it works.

Years ago i did traffic control/closing a lane at space x, in Hawthorne, ca so they could do work, it was a non union job, not even prevailing wage

My two main take aways from this video. #1) Thunderfoot is not an engineering expert, but as a physics expert who knows the weaknesses in an engineering design. All of the weaknesses Thunderfoot points out in his previous videos never had satisfactory answers, but people just kept pushing forward with their belief taht the system could work, even though they didn't want to address the most difficult points first. (AKA, Actually building the long distance vacuum tube.) #2) Thunderfoot never said a Hyperloop is impossible, he just says it is a really complex idea with dozens of weak points. But he never says it is impossible, which means Thunderfoot actually would applaud a working hyperloop system if someone got it to work, But the current approach was dumb (If you do want to build a hyperloop, first prove you can build a vacuum tube that is 1 km in length with multiple expansion/contraction joints, and prove to yourself that this 1 KM long tube is resistant to sabotage, weather, extreme changes in heat/cold and holds a strong vacuum for months without difficulty . . . Once you actually get a working vacuum tube for 1 km length, then build a 20 km tube that has the same resillience as a vacuum tube. After you get a working 20 km vacuum tube, THEN BUILD THE FREAKING TRANSPORT PODS!!!! Seriously building the transport pods BEFORE the vacuum tube is like putting the cart before the horse.)

Full self drive is possible with Hyper loop. Thats why he liked it.

One thing gets me really irritated by the whole Hyperloop saga. I mean, if they had some real scientists working on the whitepaper, wouln't they at least consider going at it the other way round by pressurizing, rather than de-pressurizing the tube? This could theoretically solve a few self-induced problems: 1) The tube wouldn't be as fragile and susceptible to micro holes 2) If you could pressurize the air in the tube and make it go constantly at 120-180 mph inside it, it could serve as a propellant pushing the carts inside it to reach the nominal speed of the entire loop (like bullets in the barrel). Actual carts could thus be cheaper. 3) Any structural failure of the system would be stretched more in time, resulting in the loop coming more slowly to a stop. 4) We'd need to think out how the in/out points of the system would work, but it still sounds less difficult than designing the in/out points into the actual vacuum loop. 5) It's just my imagination and understanding of physics, but I feel like it would be easier to implement heat expansion/contraction into a pressurized, rather than vacuum tube. My intuition tells me it still wouldn't work at scale, but I think it at least theoretically would sound like they put some thought into the concept.

Just finished binging you're Hyperloop Saga. Congratulations on standing firm on truth and reasoning against these idiots with the same intelligence of a crypto-bro and receiving the vindication you rightfully deserve.

It is amazing how quickly one can lose credibility. It is even more amazing how (uneducated) people can get excited and convincingly speak of BS as if it existed already even though it doesn't. Clueless idiots. Physics versus delusion.

Elon musk keeps repeating that “We’ll totally have self driving cars tomorrow , you guys!”, earning him several billions of dollars from pure hype, and these buffoons can burn several thousands of dollars an hour without getting ANY result. Money talks loud enough to drown out any sense of reason. 😂

The hyperloop shouldn't be much of a problem for Elon since he has a lot of experience with pipes. Crackpipes😅

This video was delicious for me. lol I am a regular joe, and when i first heard of hyperloop and what it was i knew it was nonsense. So many people on the scale of intelligence and academia knew it was a scam.

All these sham "tech" channels, LTT at the forefront of promoting bullshit of course. JFC, I am amazed how many were duped, or deliberately went on with the scam for the clicks, and when the chickens came to roost, went silent. Disgusting shills.
@mrblaque Says:
WOW!!! Linus Tech Tips is on the wrong side of an issue AGAIN. I wonder when he'll finally lose all credibility?
@larncieldarknciel440 Says:
You can only come out with two scenarios, One in which Elon is the stupidest man on earth or the second one in which he is just another liar. It doesn't matter because at the end of the day if you have to cheat or lie that means you weren't good enough to do it for real. Cheaters and liars who get caught in games, sports, work whatever are always treated as the lowest of the low. The only problem is that when the cheaters get so much money like Musk, Bill Gates....they get followers that defend them against all reason.
@norm238 Says:
I think Hyperloop went bankrupt because you were so hateful towards it
