Bishop Baron is a modernist and loves to talk psycho-babel, so he’s probably good to talk psychology. He’s in synch with the left-leaning USCCB. However, Bishop Strickland would have been a better role model of a REAL Catholic Bishop.
@railgunrandy Says:
I just had this thought while watching this interview: what if Nietzsche was wrong about God being dead, and really it was the Devil who died culturally? There are still many religious people in the world who take God very seriously, but the number of people who can say, in true faith, that they believe in the Father of Lies and the hordes of unclean spirits which influence our lives has probably fallen dramatically over the course of history. Understanding the reality of where true evil comes from is what pushed me personally to pursue Catholicism and Baptism, and to start a real, loving relationship with Jesus - because it is only through his authority that the greatest evils in this world can be dealt with.

Man don't ever cut off the Bishop. Thanks.
@Adelina-bg3fc Says:
And chose not to be humble...you'll never know anything. God reveals man.
@Adelina-bg3fc Says:
The Bishop is #1. I heard him one time and was convinced he knows more about God then any other person in my world. Thanks Jordan . L
@MsSeeker4ever Says:
It's true that most people nowadays think, in their limited minds, that God is a rival and limiting factor to their freedom until they realize that their freedom has brought them a disaster, or they face a disaster that's beyond them. Only then they turn to the Supreme Being for help with their helpless situation. The glory of God and His creation is evident, how people are failing to recognize it, and how the deceiving idea that "there is no God" found its way through people's minds? I just don't understand. The more people get away from God, the more their spirits become arid.

I love reading the comments on Jordan Peterson's videos almost as much as listening to the discourse itself.
@toddross3880 Says:
That was me 😅 Definitely received the message without understanding. Wow.

You both are looking for truth & barring the responsibility of the ones watching this
@adamjensen8112 Says:
I wish the Bishop asked more questions. I have a feeling he didn’t understand Jordan’s point about word-embeddings and meaning-space at all.
@jamessgian7691 Says:
Can you turn the crucifixion into a reason for celebration? “Consider it all JOY when you suffer for my sake.” Yes, sacrificing out of love for the sacred is the heart of active love and deepest joy. Seeing your children grow and gain from actions you have undertaken for their sake is so beautiful. You are the child God loved so He could take joy in your growth through His gifts of grace and love. Play. Dance. And TAKE joy. Actively. Take it. He offers it. Accept it! Peace and joy will transform you.

This must be the true frustration of the devil/satan, that he can do nothing without manipulating Gods creation.

Am a big fan of Jordan Peterson, but I wish he wouldn't interrupt his guests when they haven't finished their comments. They also have interesting points of view.
@Call_Me_Mom Says:
At 1:19:45 or thereabouts a reference is made to the young man who asked permission to bury his father. I kind of thought the point of that one was that his question could not be taken seriously because he was not where he should have been to honor his father and mother. The young man should not even have been out and about to be able to stop and listen to a preacher in the market. His place, at the death of his father, according to the customs of the time, was to be sitting at home doing honor to the dead and comforting his family. Other people were supposed to bring them food and any other necessities at such a time.

@aaron1983 Says:
27:06 Jordan will encounter original sin and it's effects soon. I hope Jordan as many many more years of healthy life to complete a comprehensive study of theology through his mastered discipline of psychology.
@aaron1983 Says:
I can't wait till Jordan begins to scrutinize and comprehend transubstantiation. And his mind will devour the centuries worth of Catholic Theology and then at some point will need to surrender to the mystery of faith.
@saraheckel314 Says:
Again. My opinion doesn't need your's... 😂 The Truth is, was, and always will be. If ur blind to it i try to help the best way im able... Praying for us all...
@cristinaschulz5312 Says:
For heaven's sake Jordan, give the Bishop space. You just love to hear yourself instead of listening to your guest. You interrupt him all the time. Be humble, please!!!!

Spectacular, brilliant, and moving condensation of the essence of Christianity and of the link between the human and the divine.
@von_2.0 Says:
Bishop Barron’s Catholicism series is gold. A must watch ❤
@SirBlackReeds Says:
Does no one else find it disconcerting that Bishop Robert Barron thinks so highly of a man who admitted to Richard Dawkins that he takes high doses of psilocybin? I reiterate. Jordan Peterson regularly gets doped out of his gourd through magic mushrooms. Bishop Barron is either incredibly stupid or a massive grifter.
@heluphicclovanass8954 Says:
That "cloud" described in the beginning of the talk is basically a wave function in physics. It means that there is a function through which the probability of the position of a particle can be determined but it cannot be said for certain that the particle is located there. Yet, when it's observed the position is determined. Try to apply this pattern of thought on the probability of a definition being correct or more specifically the definition of God being determined or even perhaps what happens if the particle, the definition, is not observed.
@peterstankiewicz2474 Says:
The story of Job is epic because yes I've done bad things but you all have no idea what it feels like to live in a place for 20 years from 13 to 33 and get deported. Family gone friends gone business gone... and you find yourself in a foreign land hardly speaking your native language all while keeping sober and clean ... I had so many times of " none or little faith ". Anyway I'll be getting married soon 2 days before my 36th birthday I have such a long long way up it's hard to comprehend but this video and hearing this really made me smile. Never give up and trust trust trust !!! Amen 🙏

Thank you, Bishop Barron. What heart-shaking point! ❤ …Saints…God can work through them….
@clivemarriott7749 Says:
I remember studying in some abstruse corner of the world in an academic theology discussion of the religious codes of life and meaning. These are trends and essential threads of meaning, difficult to describe. When Jordan speaks deeply it reminds me of that study like the story of Moses he gave. Using this analogy of codes Christianity coded civilisation with new programs that has lead to our emergence as the liberal west. Gone wrong now and needs updating.
@oliverclark5604 Says:
At time 1:01:46, Barron's quoting "the source and summit of the Christian life" is the "Eucharist" (CCC, 1994, n.1324) supports Barron in his family member identity - role grooming himself in his role with the non-economic status inducement of consecrated celibate marriage vowed to man in Christ as "a higher way of love" (time 51:46 of his interview by Lex Fridman on 20 July 2022 on "Christianity and the Catholic Church") than consecrated male female marriage vowed to God as the cause of the "worldwide catastrophe" (Pope Francis, 10 June 2021) of occult as hidden, incest connected as substitute mate, sexual abuse by this grooming for economic advantage by tax-exemption embezzlements and lower insurance cost by fraud of families of these groomers with the result that: "the great majority of sacramental marriages are invalid" (Pope Francis, 16 June 2016).

Liberation becomes POSSIBLE.
@PhilipShawn Says:
BOTH are liberated.
@PhilipShawn Says:
Literally AND Figuratively.
@PhilipShawn Says:
We know God ONLY due to HIS effort of language-ing with us.
@PhilipShawn Says:
Language ( exoneration) is ALWAYS there for us.
@PhilipShawn Says:
If language is ABANDONED; then, something VERY important is gone. Death is near ; then. And manipulation ( evil)/is present.
@PhilipShawn Says:
NEVER Dimished or denigrated ; no matter what one ALWAYS has SOME command of language.
@PhilipShawn Says:
Of FIRST THINGS. One is ALWAYS a person , first. Merely, but still a person.
@PhilipShawn Says:
Generosity & NON- hurting.
