It amazes me sometimes how stupid smart people can be even the ones I respect. Maybe its how they value humanity.
@ReynaMirez Says:
why do these two guys talk about immigration? That's not their expertise? Have they just adopted trumps dumb politics to get more attention??
@euanitv Says:
UK Appeals judge Bean is Jewish. Post-1945, The Poor Jews busted their circumcised asses to get Brown immigrants into Britain, Peter Rachman at one end (driving working-class Whites out of regulated tenancies then packing the properties with Windrushers) and privy counsellor Baron 'Salmon'/Solomons at the other (infamous for 'exemplary' sentencing of the White protesters). That's the story behind Notting Hill carnival. The story behind Euro-Jews'/Khazar success (av. IQ 115): Jewgenics/eugenics - the bar mitzvah public 'reading exam' (and polygamy) weeding out droolers. The Poor Jews make for a useful prosopographic study in minority rule, conquering Eastern Europe with Bolshevism and Western Europe with 'rights' racketeering and librul 'democracy'.
@lonzo61 Says:
Does the comment that Bret makes at 1:21:30 apply to Stephen Meyer, the religious physicist? I'm very skeptical of this claim, unless I'm not understanding it. Meyer doesn't strike me as a physicist who is worth being taken seriously. I have listened to a few physicists who are highly critical of Meyer. Naturally, his work is very appealing to the believers.
I have always been extremely impressed by Bret Weinstein, but his months....no....years long tirade about COVID became a weird obsession. He lost me at that point, so I stopped tuning into his and Heather's podcast. Everybody sometime colors outside the lines, which can be positive and necessary. But in Bret's case, it just became a hobbyhorse. And in this discussion, I get the sense that he's trying to accommodate Jordan Peterson to too great a degree in order to be, I dunno, agreeable and keep the conversation flowing in the direction that they mutually would like it to go.
I like Peterson generally, but his mashup of mythology, religion, psychology and sometimes science, gets too far into the wilderness to be taken seriously at times. Dawkins calling BS on the guy to his face was fully justified. And at the same time, Peterson is not completely wrong, since one might describe myths and religions, I suppose, as extended phenotypes. Certainly myths and religion are very, very important to humans and their effect on us does have implications for genetic potentiality for a group or individuals; but it seems that this discussion is just getting a bit outside the lines. In other words, it's sounding a little pseudo-sciencey.
Admittedly, I'm just a schnook.
@vmasing1965 Says:
What Bret does not see (not entirely sure with JBP), is that althou the system (genetic, epigenetic, all of it) is largely autonomous there is actually an external control structure that oversees this entire process and introduces corrections when necessary.
"When necessary" here is not considering every single element of the system (as in: person inside society) but only the major trends of the whole.
Why I say that is, I met God, face to face (no face but you get what I mean) in 1989. The reason why this event happened, why He initiated it, was because He needed something done, not because I needed something done. He gave me a very short very clear command, to work towards the destruction of _"this [specific] Empire"_ (=Soviet Union, as it happened inside late Soviet Union).
Yes that's only an example of one, and you can dismiss it all out of hand anyway, as suspicious, subjective and unverifiable. Which means the conclusions I'm making based on that may be partially or entirely invalid.
Whichever variant you choose, it's all fine by me. Not my place to prove you anything. I believe God, on a very fundamental level, has the same attitude. For a good reason.
_This is a strange world, way more strange than most people think..._

@christiansantos7164 Says:
Jordan Peterson’s verbose interruptions are like watching someone masturbate to the sound of their voice. He should take lessons from Lex and Shawn Ryan on how to let their guests speak. We get it, you’re a brainiac, but stop pleasuring yourself in front of guests this way.
@erinSnire106 Says:
Suggestion! Love how you speak - that said, it's super hard to follow in a timely manner where I am not completely lost. 😅 It would be helpful if you highlighted some rather intellectual words w/ definitions at the bottom of the screen throughout the podcast. ❤❤❤

I just watched a documentary about Amish people who are moving deeper into South American jungles and building communities. If the Amish can do it, why can't the people who are already there do it? It's not impossible for people to 'pull themselves up out of poverty' without migrating to other countries.
@kurumbiwone4005 Says:
There is a 'fault line' in Dr. Peterson's interview style; he seems unaware that he frequently interrupts his guests. He poses questions, and as they begin to answer or respond, Dr. Peterson interjects, cutting them off. This is annoying for listeners and I can see it bothers the interviewees as well. Please address this issue, Dr. Peterson.

@majsterV Says:
What a bullshit. Is not Billions that wheathy possess, is pennies that make hard working people still a social problem. Even if we go like 500% closer to more evenly distribution we still be milles away to even distribution. It only show how out of touch wealthy people are. Fact is, physical work is with Capitalism mechanism and help of monetary system devalued to the point, society will start to have big problems moving forward. Then we will maybe start to talk who else is important for moving forward apart from those that supposedly contribute more and who else should be payed accordingly. From eye of average citizen Socialism was bad and Capitalism in curent form is no better. In Socialism system itself suppress people in Capitalism, people with power and without any meaningful restrictions suppress other people. Payments ratio in capitalism right now is absolutely out of balance

I live in the Bay Area and every day I see people who have come directly from China, and who appeared to have large amounts of material wealth which they themselves do not seem to be the owners of.
Specifically, I’m in the construction business and I will see Chinese nationals pay large amounts of money in cash, without batting an eye. these people have no interest in socializing or interacting with the local population in anyway, other than acquiring and developing the land, quite obviously, for some foreign interest, which I would not be surprised at all if it were the Chinese government.
I don’t know about you, but the writing on the wall to me seems to read that whatever is going on between the Chinese and the US government includes an operation to mobilize infrastructure for the good of the Chinese government in detriment to the interest of US nationals.
what is it that they’re working on? I don’t know but I sure hope that our government has an eye on it.

I've been watching Jordan Peterson since he became famous. I've been on the fence about switching majors from a medical degree to a psychology degree. This video changed my mind. It's not because I want to be like him. (Psychology and meaning are really my passions.) It's because the gift he gave to me, despite having never met him, is realizing that I can realize my full potential and make a difference by doing so. Thank you Dr. Peterson.
@J-_- Says:
1:14:18 I think may be the best laid out explanation (concise) I've ever heard for a scientific consideration / examination of religion / religions beliefs.
@GordonLF Says:
At around the 53rd minute the discussion suddenly derails and becomes highly speculative and abstract. The large language models and hierarchy systems are a couple of Peterson long standing work horses, but their treatment here diluted the development of Weinstein´s more immediate ideas of lineage collaboration and why immigration is at the same time a significant invasion.
@bohua9744 Says:
Jordan I agree with most of things you’ve said and you’re inspirational to me. However as a Chinese migrant living in Australia for more than 20 years, the conspiracy theory of Chinese migrants this guy came out with is just laughable and horrible, and it does nothing but provokes discrimination/conflict, and reading the comments proves it. There is a reason that you find Chinatown everywhere in the world, Chinese explore other lands not for invasion or whatever in that regard, we’re just looking for a better life and that’s it. I think the reason those men are not “upfront” is more to do with cultural and language differences, you gotta realise the gap is much bigger between north and South America, than west and east. Children don’t come with parents through the jungle becoz back home it’s livable unlike total disability in South America, and parents usually find ways to get kids over in much safer way once they settle down in us.
