Self defence classes are a necessity in my eyes but not even just for the physical protection. I think they're more important for the situational awareness of what is right and wrong. When me and my fiancé have children we've both said how important these classes are from a young age. Maturing the mind to help them understand what is wrong and being able to have a say in those situations either verbally of physically if needed.

I was a child model and doing Vogue etc in Australia at 12, at 9 I won Miss Junior Victoria and was one for the first child models in an adult agency at 11, Ford models wanted me to fly to NYC alone too... and my mum was the same as hers... a very smart decent woman who only supported me while enjoying my work, and protected ,me... mum also put me into Judo and Karate at 8!! I think it's important for all kids to learn .. And luckily also the "big girls" protected me like a sisterhood at work... I witnessed a lot too but was personally protected ... can totally relate to her view completely ... I loved the work but there are a lot of weird dynamics to dodge, it certainly does attract darkness! But the work was amazing...
