Is it only me who just can't keep up with what he talks about...I just get lost or maybe he just talks about so many things at the same time...idk 😶

It's a shame that the Canadian government is trying to take his license away. Censorship at it's finest. ReEducation Camp for him is preposterous and down right cruel.

Maybe the subject you’re studying is not interesting to you.

Concentration and focus are crucial to accomplish every task, even the small ones

Would love to see the full lecture, is this possible?

The fact the guy in the blue hoodie is browsing facebook while Jordan is saying all of this is the purest form of irony💀 1:14

@roystonlodge Says:
For example. I'm currently distracted by the enormous size of that vintage laptop.
@grapy83 Says:
Well I agree it must be the bad habits that cause such strong distractions but come on, there must be something more than just habits. Maybe habits cause 90% of these distractions but the more I think the more it feels like there is something more to it...
@BraeburnTV Says:
The stuff he’s talking about here kept happening to me WHILE I WAS TRYING TO WATCH HIM TALK ABOUT IT. Mind drift during a discussion about mind drift is a pretty trippy experience, let me tell you.

Can we watch the full lecture?

I like Jordan a lot but the thing that's wrong with his way of speaking is that he just doesn't care about his audience. What I mean is, he does 0 efforts to simplify his thoughts, he uses all these big conplex words which makes it very hard for someone to keep up with him & you really have to put effort to fully understand his wisdom which is absolutely fantastic if totally understood. But majority of the population can't keep up to this way of speaking. Also what I think is that it's not the job of the audience to put efforts to understand the speaker, actually it's the exact opposite. Just wanted to say this✌🏻
@UFO_808 Says:
iont like this guy
@eyemallears2647 Says:
Thank you Jordan. I’ll try meditating to brainwash myself to sit down and focus on my work. I bet it’ll help too.
@impostorsyndrome1350 Says:
So, you explained things. How to fix them, then?
@cakeEATER17 Says:
Ironically, I'm supposed to be working right now.
@servantrose Says:
this guy is crazy. he understands a lot of knowledge but he has no wisdom, and he follows a lot of fallacy and doesn't want to acknowledge that all of that philosophy gives more explanation but no answers. it's like the medical industry lol
@3Okshah Says:
And the point is?!
@Marauder1981 Says:
When I was a young pupil I had to do a presentation for school and my grandfather would sitdown with me to check how my presentation pans out. The one utmost thing I am thankful to him was that he repeatedly stopped me whenever I sayed "äh" or "ähm" or used other fillers. He wanted me to sound like a pro and not some dullard. This really boosted my performance later in the university I studied in. Sorry for bad English.
@RR-et6zp Says:
excuses
@chucko31499 Says:
So verbose … sometimes he uses way too many words to convey his point. Watch his debates and this is even more evident… get to the point!

@geneoverride3725 Says:
Balls to your theory. It is hard to work because human beings don't like to be slaves. Better caption: why is it so hard to be slaves? This is the original question which doesn't need answering ;)
@gonnahavemesomefun Says:
It's not, I sit down and work really well.
@MustangsTrainsMowers Says:
I hate anything that reminds me of school homework. I hated school, and hated homework with a passion. I was picked on in school a lot. I had great trouble focusing and close to age 30 was diagnosed with a very strong case of PTSD. Then at age 46 diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease so no wonder I had trouble focusing.
@rainson12 Says:
and then there is this guy in the front right whos just scrolling on facebook.
@JoaoPedro-jr8pf Says:
so he basically didnt answer the titular question ("Why it's so hard to sit down and work")
@andrewtaylor9759 Says:
The boy at the front scrolling through Facebook as he talks about distractions is some lovely irony.
@CyberTronXXX Says:
Guys please. This is ADHD. And in so many of his other videos, this is ADHD. Get diagnosed and get medicine!! Please thump this up so other people can see. ADHD med get a bad rep because some people are intentionally get misdiagnosed because the believe the meds help them. Don't let that discourage you from getting help if you feel you can't focus and study!!
@heidivanloosbroek8095 Says:
The average person absolutely CAN control those impulses. With God all things are possible. Pray for strength and learn to raise your consciousness to a place of discipline; demand more of yourself. Direct your focus on ONE issue at a time until you’ve overcome it. Then move onto the next. Start small and work your way up.
@Strategos92 Says:
So what is the Solution?
@albertdittel8898 Says:
What the hell do people find in this guy? I really don't get it. Here he for example just described what we all know (that we procrastinate and concentrate on boring stuff is difficult) and said that you're a mess and then he restated that same thing in a bunch of other fancy sciento-ways with crustatians and super ego etc. Can anyone tell me what they get out of that? Not just how "great" this is, but what exactly is your gain listening to that?
@monique-octowhale Says:
Interesting!
@mattcoy47 Says:
JP’s work is unbelievably important and useful. You know that’s true when an entire establishment wants to silence him.
@Steambull1 Says:
The irony of youtube videos about procrastination.
@danieljust295 Says:
The answer is simple - work is usually boring and human is not machine. I don’t agree that human has animalistic like behavior. This is only atheistic perspective. Humans are not animals although occasionally they may behave is such a way the resemble animals, but that’s it. Human has body, mind and spirit. Mind is what produces all kinds of thoughts, but spirit is the observer. In normal condition the spirit is in malfunctioning state and mind produces thoughts freely which means mind will produce thoughts that correspond to the body needs first. All religious systems put priority on spirit first. Spirit must control the mind .
@MrRosstifarian Says:
While giving this great lecture and talking about distraction, there's some kid in the front row at 1:06 scrolling through facebook.
@pentzzzify Says:
I'm watching this instead of sitting down and working
@yafmaverick Says:
Because it’s boring
@bateman9mm681 Says:
I started to listen to this, but got distracted and walked away.
