Robin has designed human brain imaging studies with LSD, psilocybin, MDMA and DMT, and several clinical trials of psilocybin therapy for severe mental illnesses. Robin founded the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London in April 2019, was ranked among the top 31 medical scientists in 2020, and in 2021, was named in TIME magazine's '100 Next' – a list of 100 rising stars shaping the future. His research is creating system-level change in mental health care.

there are good things that Mushrooms can lead to, but I can not stress this enough... 16:19 this is my problem with the quote that Jordan repeats sometimes “beware of unearned wisdom.” A baptism by fire is not a walk in the park. If you’re in a trip, and you must slay your dragon, or lay down and be consumed by it, you wouldn’t tell someone that whatever knowledge or wisdom they got from slaying their dragon was “unearned”. It takes a lot of courage to face your demons, and I think whatever you earn from that battle is done so heroically and yours to keep. And furthermore, whose business is it to say who’s earned what? These things are very personal sometimes, and I think people toss that quote around, inconsiderately.

Rupert Sheldrake points out some very interesting phenomena regarding non-random mutation and invokes Field Theory as a possible explanation for phenomena that are too organized to be explained by the random interaction of purely materialistic components.

I think I have to agree with Robin. Overlearning, which he also termed defensive learning, has been, and continues to be, a life inhibitting habit. Instead of choosing to face the unknown in good faith while seeing and learning things as they truly are, I build and expand on past learnings. It kills experience and aliveness.

Psilocybin saved my life . I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September . I have zero cravings . This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment .
