Pihl discuss their early research and business ideas, the breakthroughs that led to their successes, the concept that entrepreneurial ability can be measured, and the beneficial truths that can be found in knowing yourself. Dr. Daniel M. Higgins has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Harvard University where he studied the roles of cognitive ability and personality in predicting academic and workplace performance. TLDR People express gratitude for Jordan Peterson's teachings, share personal stories of transformation, and praise his authenticity and impact on their lives.

"We assumed 1. that people were motivated by economic utility, 2. that they would be rewarded for taking a risk, 3. that they would understand the technical arguments, 4. and that that would guide their decision making, and every single one of those presumptions was wrong." " We 1. gave you a tool; 2. it was dirt cheap, 3. it took no time 4. that [sic] had no negative side effects 5. that doubled the performance of your incoming students 6. and we offered it to you with almost no difficulty 7. and retooled it for your bureaucracy 8. AND we did the study in your institution 9. and we published it, and yet, at the end of this whole process, you basically told us that you weren't interested."

And this is why we have so many loud stupid people running company stores, even if they aren’t the managers they know if they are loud and “fun” they can get away with anything at their job half the time.
@adarichards2743 Says:
Fascinating, I’ve run, managed, and supervised in the private sector, starting in 1991 and watched how things have changed from the other side. This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I have both of his books and a future authoring program, but I have a problem following through, I didn’t finish the books and it is taking me two years to finish self authoring program, which is still not done because to many questions I don’t know the answers and they constantly change. I think I have to grow up for it and figure out what I want. But I’ve been listening to him quite often. And since my 30th birthday in April this year I realized my life is slipping through my fingers, and I am wasting myself on easy gratifications, and bad habits. I used to sleep until midday, party until 7 in the morning, drinking and smoking daily, eating crap food, which also affected my modeling jobs and motivation. And then beating myself up for it. It’s like I woke up seeing I don’t have a stable income, house or a car, family or marriage. I have nothing. So now I took responsibility and the past two month I didn’t party or go to the restaurants at all, I do intermittent fasting eating healthy one meal a day, I work out doing yoga pilates and HIIT daily. I quit drinking, smoking and partying two month now. And I am thinking about pursuing more intellectual career. It is weird I fell into the abyss taking into account that I have two educations and I worked hard since 14. And help sick kids as a volunteer. I don’t know how it happened but I feel JBP helping me, and I am immensely grateful for these lectures.

@Wandering.Homebody Says:
It's not complicated why teachers prefer high IQ students. They are just easier to engage, if they are curious, which they are more likely to be, and way more satisfying to explain sth to, if they grasp it immediately. It can be extremely tedious to explain sth to someone who is slow on the uptake. I always dread teaching people who are slow, and super look forward to teaching high IQ students.
@boulderbuffalo Says:
WOW!!! Imagine a world that JBP wasn't able to attend and study under him because other staff didn't like him.
@ChanceT.Abrams Says:
Knowing Dr. Peterson will probably never read this (understandably)… I wish him the best if he is still struggling with law suits. He has had a huge positive influence in my life. The amount of knowledge I have learned from him is incalculable. As a guy seeking answers, I practice a lot of what he teaches “clean up your room” grows into clean up my life and more of it was mental than physical.

I rarely have to ability to listen to an entire episode from Jordan. I only have a 30 minute attention span and sometimes make it 45 minutes but I love him so I will try to watch this one too the end. I have meet everyone this side of heaven except for Prager, Jordan and Tucker so I hope I still get to but if I don’t I hope they figure out what the apostle Paul taught because only a half of a percent of people ever have from the time he passed until today. There is a salvation and heaven that awaits for those who understand Paul and I hope all that have the ability to understand it do. I would love for these guys to learn it as well as whosoever will. Today’s evangelical churches have lost their way and salvation cant be found in them. These guys are not evangelical so maybe they will find the truth
@nineteeneightyfour3680 Says:
The problem is we are not fighting the British today. Today we are fighting our own namely the democrats/ communists. It will get bad because they use climate change and racism as their platform and that’s a partnership with the communist in Chyna and Russia. This will be horrible but I believe we can win. No doubt we will loose some of our own loves ones. Even the children we sent to prestigious universities such as we did just to see them turned against everything we taught them and stood for. The battle is on.

It was interesting to 'meet' Dr Higgins and Dr Phil and learn about the commercial history of Self-Authoring and Understand Myself. Elephant in the room? No discussion around the commercial impact of Dr Peterson's fame. I imagine that sales growth for Self-Authoring and Understand Myself could, and should, be understood in a manner akin to our Jesus-centred conceptualisation of time epochs (ie, before and after Christ), but with reference to such fame. Is that a fair assumption? I am also interested in the degree to which Dr Peterson's burgeoning fame shaped commercial decisions, product development, etc, and, perhaps, vice versa.

I took the UnderstandMyself test 5 years ago and I feel there has been changes in my temperament, mostly behavioral. How often would your recommendation be, if there's room for any, to take the big5 test? Have you seen, by experience, people changing on that regard? Or are we caged to it like my superstitious beliefs in astrology in my early teens?

It's my contention that 'permanent' offices for equality in any institution will primarily and practically ensure they continue no matter what any eventual outcomes are. So, success will always be a fleeting, ever moving goal as that role becomes ever more radicalized and excessive. A much better model for change and ensuring compliance is a mere audit - a set of clear standards that are well documented, reviewed, by which that institution is graded periodically, like any safety or fire inspection. Failures are identified, remediated and then if necessary re-inspected. Easy, practical and above all, cheap (saving in salaries at least). But any rules so devised will then be fixed, set by consent of the institution, concurrent with its goals and in support of the the institution's mission - be it profit, education, public service, etc.

One might think in this day and age we would have integrated systems that are intelligent, intuitive and highly optimized for the betterment of civilization. That our professional class is well-educated, properly trained, knowledgeable and skilled where society is moving forward as a social group, acknowledging and accepting of all. We should have nice things like: clean, uncontaminated air, water and food, smooth and safe roads, modern infrastructure, affordable housing and education, health care, employment with a living wage, a transparent government and an overflow of accurate, current information with leadership that listens and responds positively. Unfortunately, the USA is a rundown, third world country who's population is equally abused and ignored governed by a single party crime syndicate that is antithetical to all of the above.
