I studied environmental chemistry but I'm not a environmental expert at all but I hear so many people who will say "you can't say what a woman is if you don't have a degree in biology" but will say they know "Co2 is the problem and climate change is a crisis" it doesn't seem to me it is.
Co2 is the base of the food chain, yes we are cutting too much rain forest down, over fishing the oceans but the increase in Co2 has made plant density increase by 15% that's a lot and in semi arrid area, around the deserts which is good because the deserts constricting will help of set any climate change. Look we have to do better but it's no obviously and to sacrifice people that are here now for changes that won't be measurable due to the error bars on the already flawed models and the seeming inability to recognise the past climate events like the medieval warm period and younger dryas which don't appear in the "hockey stick graph" at all which always makes me suspicious that they had to cook the data so much by basically averaging the past temperature out and taking the modern extremes barely factoring in the urban heat island effect makes me suspicious, very much so.
We can't let people starve and steal their property for this climate virtue signalling it's crazy.
The things we aren't doing which could make a difference like stop the need to cut rain forest down and over fishing plus other local things aren't been done because we are spending time and money fixating on oil.
We need as many energy sources as possible and will have to get off oil eventually but to make deadlines for it that we in no way have the infrastructure or time and now money to build by like tomorrow.
It just seems crazy to me and it has become the sacred cow it's a sin to question and that worries me greatly.
