Secrets to Business No University Can Teach You | Eric Edmeades | EP 374

????

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and Eric Edmeades discuss his early experiences with homelessness, the extent and detriment of alcoholism, the changes you can make to restructure your physiological responses, the relationship between trust and sales, and the world of possibility that opens when you embrace the unknown, the potentially dangerous, and above all that which calls to you. Eric Edmeades, a globally recognized keynote speaker, prolific entrepreneur, and recognized authority in health, practical psychology, and behavioral transformation, has made significant strides in the health and wellness industry. His revolutionary program, WILDFIT®, has positively transformed the lives of over a hundred thousand individuals across more than 130 countries, underscoring his innovative and impactful approach to health. Edmeades is in the process of releasing his forthcoming book, "The Evolution Gap: A Survival Guide for Modern Civilization". This enlightening work explores the growing disconnect between our slow-moving biological evolution and our remarkable ability to innovate at a breakneck pace. Edmeades suggests that this gap is the root cause of much of today's pain, suffering, and disease, and he provides practical strategies to bridge this divide and enhance our collective wellbeing. I like that line "selling is solving a problem for people"
@protonjones54 Says:
I don't understand how that story about running with the hunters led to 70% of people thinking they want to shop for new shoes. When i hear this story it makes me LESS likely to want to shop for new shoes, and MORE likely to just change the way i run

Jordan, thanks for all you continue to do. One side note regarding Eric's father's book...no way humans caused extinction of the megafauna, not enough of us then. Very likely caused by the Younger Dryas impaxt event(s), i.e., comets...

Personal Development and Success: 🚶‍♀ Taking control of one's safety and learning self-defence techniques can change the way a person walks down the street and even inspire others to do the same. 🧱 The advantage of not going through traditional education is that it allows individuals to formulate their own unique worldviews, resulting in extremely original thinking. 🎓 Interesting ideas often come from individuals who are masters of multiple disciplines that rarely overlap. 💡 Developing expertise in multiple areas and benefiting from the convergence of those can push people up the Pareto distribution curve, leading to faster and greater success. 💡 Selling is all about communication and building trust, and if it's done properly, it can provide a valuable service to customers. 💔 Suppose you believe in what you're selling. In that case, it's selfish to be afraid of rejection because your fear is prioritizing your own discomfort over potentially resolving someone's pain for the next few decades of your life. 💡 People rarely make judgments based on facts, even statistical facts, so it's important to understand their problems and offer solutions that address those specific issues. 🤔 Selling should be about solving a problem for people, rather than manipulating them. 🌍 Human innovation is rapidly accelerating, creating a gap between human evolution and innovation, with narcissism becoming an advantage in our modern world. 💰 "You don't want to sell to the wrong person because you might be in bed with them for a very long time." - Eric Edmeades highlights the significance of choosing the right partners and customers to avoid negative long-term consequences. 🌟 Finding purpose allowed Eric to transcend the need for money and pursue his true passions, leading to a more fulfilling and driven life. Health and Nutrition: 💪 Tony Robbins' insights on food had a significant impact on Eric Edmeades, leading him to make positive changes in his diet and resulting in a significant weight loss of 35 pounds in just 30 days. 💡 Food science has been hijacked and adulterated, making it difficult to trust. Looking at our own anthropology and history can provide insights into a healthy human diet. 🍎 Edmeades' passion for health and nutrition led him to teach nutritional principles to his business clients, highlighting the detrimental effects of the food industry's exploitation of the "evolution gap" and the rise of diseases like type 2 diabetes and obesity. 💪 Over 100,000 people from 130 countries have successfully completed Eric Edmeades' program, with countless cases of reversing type 2 diabetes, highlighting the program's effectiveness in improving health. Impact of Alcohol on Society: 🍺 Alcohol is a bad drug that can turn good people into impulsive and dim-witted monsters, and it is the sole cause of many social issues such as domestic abuse and date rape.

I’ve been watching this channel for many months, but this is the first time I’ve left a comment. This interview made me take notes about what it made me realize about myself and challenges I’ve either realized I crave or have been shying away from recently sheerly out of fear of rejection or failure. I’ve been working on my confidence, and this reinforced and opened my mind to new methods to do so. Thank you! Wonderful program!
@Devoted_Bastion Says:
I've noticed something odd about this channel. Whenever I'm drunk or high I read it as Jordan J Peterson. Which is bizarre because that's my middle initial. But now when I watch this channel sober I read it as Jordan B Peterson. I want to get around to his videos on the bible because I'm trying to become Greek Orthodox and I'm what some would call a "Fool for Christ". I really worry for this world and this individual. I'll keep you in my prayers, Jordan B Peterson.

I just want to tell y'all about the time a vacuum salesman came to our house. Now, the house was brand new, and we had maybe lived here a year. So, the salesman offered to vacuum a room for free, so I let him demonstrate in my kids' room. He would vacuum, take the filter out and show me the dirt, put a clean filter in, and repeat. It was like watching a magician, the way he acted. He would say, "The floor looks clean, doesn't it? But look at this!" He vacuumed the floor FOUR times, and after each time, he would show me the filter, and there was dirt in it. And every time, I would say, "Wow!" He talked to my husband and me for hours, and I kept saying, "No, I don't think so," trying to be gentle about it. Finally, I just said, "Thank you for demonstrating the vacuum, we can't afford it." He packed up and left. But the funny thing was, I was thinking, "Geez, this must be a shitty vacuum cleaner if it can't get all the dirt in four runs."

I also left high school to object to their unfair punishment and treatment of my brother. Later I got my GED anyways. I dropped out of college again right after that however to object to disgusting globalist bias of the pol-sci teacher who hid his massive bias until after I could no longer get a refund for the class 🙃

Curious, is Eric Edmeades Greek? His surname suggests so. Just simply wondering.
@Serraainc Says:
I’m a 26 years old Iraqi clinical pharmacist. My name is Serraa Khaphají. And this is a message to Dr. Peterson. I’ve been a student of your teachings since 2017, and I cannot help but agree with the majority of what you teach, share, voice, and believe. The reason that got me to comment today is this: I’ve overheard my parents watching an Iraqi interview between a tv show host and an activist, discussing the concept of the ‘social gender’, and the conspicuous opinion -now- that gender includes the social, psychological, cultural and behavioral aspects of both biological genders and ‘supposedly’ other gender-identity. This ideology is being openly discussed here in Iraq, on the political front, but not yet socially. We Iraqis have the not-so-intellectual attitude to care about ‘trend’ a little bit more than necessary, and to be entirely honest, I am terrified. Iraq has been the closest thing to the host of multi-angled totalitarian despotism ever since 1978, or maybe before that. Politically, religiously, and socially, Iraq has been abused far more than what’s imaginable, and it is not getting any better, not with this. Why? Is the Left absolutely scared of their ‘theory’ falling out of proportion to the point they have to push it to another country to support it? Why this? People here have been confused as it is about raising their children since the 80s, and I know it never looked like it was getting any better (at least across my personal lifespan), but this? This where our politics still doesn’t accept homosexuality? I always agree with your notion about specifying a place to stay the hell away from, I never thought though, that this place would be my country, not to this extent. I hope this gets discussed by intellects like you, who search and seek the truth, and I hope you see this, because truly, never have I felt before to this degree, that things are spilling uncontrollably out of hands. Thank you…

i know this wasnt the point of the podcast at all, but i knew i was running properly all my life. i got made fun of it because it looked weird but it felt right to me so i kept doing it. i was inspired by the blade runner, you know that south african olympian without legs who murdered his wife, to run with my legs as a spring because it made it click that “wait that makes so much sense why arent i running like that all the time” and i started doing it. i stopped because i got made fun of too much but im definitely going back now.
