There are too many religious hypocrites to trust religion. Sure it helps some good folks who need to believe in something to feel whole and like there is something at the end of this life.
Why can’t we just be better people without all that?
In god we trust, right? Our government is full of people that use religion as a basis to manipulate you. They can send our young men and women to war for greed and you accept that. We poison the air, water and soil all for greed and many of those folks who lobby for the entities that poison us use religion as well.
I’m over it, god is either dead or non existent. The chance that this is a simulation is more probable in my opinion than there is being a god.

The issue with this is the clash with Islam, I can say from a European perspective if we don't get rid of Islam in Europe, we can never have this love for the neighbour, as their faith teaches them to treat Christians as second class citizens. It won't happen straight away, but with the sheer numbers and influx in protection, its bound to happen.

When God says, I am THAT I am. He refers to us when we say anything I or me. We are God in the flesh, but are limited to our humanity. I believe that we are a result of all the things that make us who we are. The things we see and hear, but truly I believe that when we are told to love God above anything else, I believe that he means to love the energy that keeps you, me and the entire universe bound together.

The problem is that, too often, we've grow VERY divided on what we think love is. Some say it's 100% tolerance. Some say it's tough love and boundaries. Some say it's letting people do whatever they want to do. Some say it's that there's objective truth and that we have a responsibility to live in accordance with that truth. When we don't agree on love, I think we're going to stay pretty divided.
