My siblings and I loved the game (100%ed it) but the multiplayer mode is WAY worse than Mario Wii and Mario U!
The camera is WAY too close, and instead of there being ONE designated leader on whom the camera focuses on, and the rest of the players being pushed in by the borders, the leader is constantly switching because when a player goes outside the border, THEY"RE GONE. YOU CAN SEE YOURSELF. Didn't appreciate that

The flowers annoyed me at first but fast became one of my favourite parts. In addition to the wonder seed novelty I was excited to hear what the flowers would say next and it was always funny, silly and heartwarming.

I thought I would be annoyed by the talking flowers after seeing the first trailer, but I honestly really like them! They add a lot of extra charm to the game imo

Got a copy for Christmas; Just got around to playing through it recently. I'm not even all that good at most 2D platformers, but I had a blast. Also, you can mute the flowers, but the better option was setting their spoken language to Canadian French, because 1) I speak French and 2) the voice seemed to fit better somehow

about the talking flowers, if you are the kind of japanese guy who stays at home all day and watch anime for little girls (i was that guy for 3 months after gratuation), they provide comfort of social interactions
and they added languages other than japanese so that everyone is treated equally

The talking flowers have a simple fix:
Go to settings
Scroll down to Talking Flower Settings
Switch it to German.

For instance, you’re in the Puffy Clouds? You’re going to have cloud based levels.
Other games would have you in an area and the levels wouldn’t even match the aesthetic.

i love all of the musical wonder effects in this game so much, it's like they took all the cool music levels out of sackboy a big adventure and hid them everywhere as a fun surprise

I feel like this game is in some ways a response to everything that came out of Mario Maker. Players got such mileage out of the standard Mario elements and came up with such amazing designs, that Nintendo must have seen it all and realized that in order to make a new 2D platformer, they needed to do something truly unique and impossible to imitate. That's why I think there's so many brand new ideas in each level; an example of fan-content pushing the developers to innovate their own IP and bring back the "wonder" that was originally associated with the series from the beginning.
