1:35:42 The Sun is the source of renewable energy. The harvesting equipment does wear out over time but the energy harvested is much greater than the energy cost to construct the equipment. Metals and minerals can be recycled indefinitely. We have an example. The Living Planet.
@emceegreen8864 Says:
57:41 Methane (CH4) actually is quite a powerful greenhouse gas. Around 85x more than CO2 for the first 20 years and it’s growing rapidly. So much so that it makes a lot of sense to immediately go after leaking wells and pipes. Makes sense for the energy companies and makes sense for the climate.

Is there any book from Scott Tinker or any other relevant author that explains all the ideas commented in this episode?

Also people in hot countries don’t want to sit around a fire it’s already hot no matter what you give them to burn a solar panel is good as it can not only produce energy it can provide shelter from heat from above if a person has a shelter another layer raise above is a thermal gap and gives their roof shade which is in many countries metal roofs making heat worse so the thing to do is donate a panel from every sale of a full solar array in a developed country in developed countries we are going to need multiple energy sources but there is no reason while making everyone in the world richer we can put solar panels on every roof to reduce people’s bills making them richer they can still burn fuel if they would like or run an at the moment theoretical nuclear powered car until technology gets there hot countries will benefit from solar it fits in hot countries well

Peer review would be great if the 4 day working week was a thing then to you went to university’s with people born in the same year as yourself for the 5th day in order to learn about the latest science and both sides of subjects to give people an education more people need more education this would help

"No matter how highly mechanised and self-powered, fossil fuels extraction requires a number of people - as if the process is executed by hands using buckets and ropes - by physics". Today, this number is 8 billion people - working flat out 24/7 - strong. Our Western Civilisation has been no more than fossil fuels extraction management operation since mass extraction of early coal m(refer to Joseph Tainter's hypothesis on long queue of ants). Coal has not become the primary source of fuel overtaking biomass only after 60 years of its mass extraction. Oil has been not enough to over take coal and biomass - to date. Energy transition from fossil fuels cannot be done powered by fossil fuels. Finite fossil fuels are dangerously hypnotic to humans, their consciousness, reasoning and mental capacity. Humans were not ready morally, ethically and intellectually to start the mass extraction of fossil fuels with the advent of the steam engine 300 years ago. "In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most. No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores. No system of energy can deliver sum useful energy in excess of the total energy put into constructing it. This universal truth applies to all systems. Energy, like time, flows from past to future" (2017).

Of course, your ideas and suggestions are logical, but I think you are naive. “They” don’t want to alleviate suffering and poverty. They want power and are consciously hurting people and systems. This is why they aren’t being “logical” by your righteous standards.

The danger of "educated" people expressed here. Just blurbing on and on when it's already shown that climate change is b.s. as is a tax to stop it lol. All while corporations and elites contribute nonstop pollution.

I wish to highlight the impressive quality of these interviews in terms of the production value facilitated by the Daily Wire production staff. The settings, lighting, sound, camera angles, editing, hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc. everything that goes into making these interviews look and sound so utterly professional deserves some honourable mention. I say Bravo to all of the people who are involved in accomplishing such top notch results so quietly in the background… you all deserve some recognition. Bravo!

California is shutting down nuclear reactors in favor of less dense energy sources because, like certain plastic-handled firearms, it's scary.

This is the most intelligent and adult discussion of energy the environment and the how people interact with that. The inhumanity of eco-tastrophists throwing the poor under the bus as a solution to too much co2 (they believe). Its not acceptable. So this a properly nuanced discussion on these issues and fully counters the brutalist beliefs of the ecotastrophists. Imo.
@dougdavis2296 Says:
Praise and blessings to you, Jordan Peterson. Thank you so much for all you do. I would sure like to see someone come up with a visible way to show the balance between environmentally driven public opinion, and legislation versus the truth . I envision an old school set of scales, showing on one side, the environmental benefit, and on the other side, the environmental cost. As an example, California passes a mandate for more wind power. They are limited in how much more they can develop in their own state by their own choosing. So, two very large power corridors are being built ,as I write this, from Wyoming to Vegas and California. So that they can purchase wind power from Wyoming. I’m sure there is absolutely no environmental concerns about two large power corridors going over 1000 miles as well as the amount of fossil fuels and raw materials It takes to build it out . If that was on a simple scale for people to see for themselves it may be helpful in turning the tide of popular but unwise long-term decisions.

How do you know species need lots of time to adapt? There is no proof for the evolutionary 'claim' that lots of time is needed.

26:52 Actually, NASA estimated the greening to be equal to the Amazon rainforest in size, NOT three times. Whether intentional or not, this is misinformation

What you're doing is amazing and I know God is with you because what you did with ARC, the enormous draw of the people from all nations, was nothing short of a miracle. That was certainly the Spirit of God working through you to accomplish such an impossible feat. The ARC rammed a giant hole in the hull of the ridiculous wef's death knell ship. They're like a mouse groveling after your podcast here twitching out context notes to try and stop the sinking, I love it:)

One of the biggest problems with science is the embracing of evolution with the compleat absence of scientific evidence. All science, history and philosophy points to creation. Standing on an evolution platform gives radically different conclusions from creation presuppositions

@gcxred4kat9 Says:
A big problem not mentioned is, green energy is relatively new, which means a lot of new patents and people getting rich on the tech side. Oil drilling etc is old tech, so nobody getting rich that way, and fossil fuels themselves sell relatively cheap. All comes down to, are the power players making money. ALWAYS follow the money!

I'm not sold on the term "fossil" fuels - for good reason. Nor the "millions" of years. And certainly not any evolution from Chaos-to-order biology like DNA.

Would like to know the guest's opinion on the magnitude of the (negative) effect of shooting 155mm, 122mm, and lower caliber shells and rounds, drones, or other shooting war tools in Eastern Europe on climate, energy, and ecology of the Earth. No one comments on it from Green Peace or any other 'green' organizations. Why no one throws any war protest to save the planet, ah?

53:45 "Human flourishing should take precedence over sustainability." - Wouldn't it anyway? It's like the logical fallacy that spawned the - certain disease - measures. If humans see something terrible coming down the barrel, they will naturally take steps to avoid it; you do not have to mandate these things on grand levels to get people to worry about their own safety. If global warming becomes so awful people are dying in heat waves, you can bet they will take action no matter what anyone else says. You don't need this giant media apparatus to spur it - and you might even say the need for a giant media apparatus to affect social change is an indicator that the thing they're trying to push is full of ish.

The problem is the global Left simply does not not compromise. If given the chance, they will take us all full steam ahead into destruction. In the unlikely event that a Greta Thunberg decided to compromise, they would simply find a new mascot to replace her.

@frankhartranft2133 Says:
Before I retired from mechanical engineering I had a client that was consuming $17 million worth of energy per year. They hired us when their new HVAC systems malfunctioned so badly that they were breaking down. Our first challenge was get them working. After that the client fired all of their other engineers and gave us an exclusive. We took two years to get everything working. Then we began to reduce energy waste (Even without breaking down, flawed systems waste energy.) The original repairs reduced their annual energy bill by about 20%. Our conservation goal was simple: Keep saving energy with energy cost savings paying for improvements within 5 years. That's equivalent to 15 to 20% ROI. After five years of that work we had reduced their energy costs (per square foot let's say) by another 30% and we did it gradually so we never shut them down to make our changes. Then, sadly, our client contact retired and the new boss hired a woke energy Tsar (who was not even an engineer). She shut down our conservation work and began building solar photovoltaic systems, which offer no ROI because they wear out before they recover even enough energy to pay for themselves. Surely, developed nations could reduce energy consumption by 40 to 50% without spending any money at all, since energy savings would quickly pay for the improvements.
