It is said that St. Augustine was walking on a beach at dawn one day, contemplating on the mystery of the trinity. Nobody was around at that hour, but suddenly he sees someone on the beach from a distance, he comes closer and sees a little child taking some ocean water in his palms, than running to pour it into a little hole he made in the sand, and he repeatedly did this, and of course the sand will absorb the water until he will pour again. So Augustine remained still and watched him, at some point he asks him, what are you doing my son? The child replies, I'm trying to put the entire ocean into this hole. Augustine says, but it s impossible, you won't be able to do it.. The child says: "you also won' t be able to understand the mystery of the trinity using your mind (intellect)", and than He disappeared..

Jordan Peterson, you should understand this about the sacrifice. Hebrews 10:8- "Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings for sin you would not, neither had pleasure in them which are offered by the law. Then he said, Lo I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, by the which will we are sanctified (purified) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once. And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never take away sins, but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool." It may be true that we enter into the work that Jesus did, making his enemies his footstool, but that is not by our sacrifice. His sacrifice finished that kind of sacrifice. Our work is the positive kind of work, healing the sick, feeding the poor, raising the dead. You may say, that takes sacrifice as well, but not ours. It is faith in the final, penetrating, once and for all sacrifice of Jesus that has the power to make the work possible, to truly reach the hearts of people and to heal. Not our sacrifice, but faith in his sacrifice, which buys us back from Death. HE is the establisher of the covenant. We do not make covenant with God now. We enter into the covenant God has already established with us through Jesus. "For by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified. The Holy Spirit also is a witness to us, for after that he had said before: This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, said the Lord. I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more sacrifice for sin. Having therefore boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus by a new and living way, and a high priest (Jesus) over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith..."

Russel Brand between minute 42 and the break (minute 46) — WOW! And YES! The default mindless unconscious projecting of the representation of all hedonism onto gay people ONLY — excellent RB… EXCELLENT. Thank you for challenging that easy, too easy and even lazy constant projection (as if hedonism doesn’t exist in the heterosexual world) THANK YOU

Russell Brand, steer clear of Carl Gustav Young. He was an occultist and wrecked the move of the Holy Spirit in the more liturgical traditions (not by himself obviously) but by Christians in these traditions who read his books and took notice of him. Read Leanne Payne’s critique of his teaching in her book, I think called Real Presence. You’ll find it under Pastoral Care Ministries in USA. Very best wishes in the maturing of your faith as a Christian.
@Luco-G5 Says:
@JordanPeterson As a former pastor and student of theology, I find your approach to the Bible fascinating. It seems you're still learning to extract the deeper utility of its teachings. You're relying heavily on human understanding instead of letting the spirit guide you in simplifying the Bible's complex messages. The Bible and Jesus have a unique ability to teach anyone, regardless of their level of education. The Bible meets you where you are. It can challenge your understanding of the world in profound ways. If you perceive things deeply, it will push you toward simplicity. If your perspective is too simple, it will unravel those notions and make you look beyond your basic ideas. For instance, consider the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). This parable teaches profound truths about love, compassion, and neighborliness, yet it’s simple enough for anyone to understand. It doesn’t require deep theological knowledge to grasp that helping others in need is a fundamental moral duty. On the other hand, think about the Book of Job. It delves into complex questions about suffering, justice, and divine wisdom. Job’s story challenges those who might think they have a deep understanding of God’s ways, pushing them to acknowledge the limits of human understanding and the depth of divine mystery. For those with strong intellect, the Bible offers specific warnings about pride. People with high abstract intelligence, as highlighted in the Big 5 personality traits, often face the hardship of needing to believe only in novel creations of their own. This intellectual pride can be a barrier to understanding. Embracing humility and recognizing that truth can be found in what might seem like redundant descriptions is crucial. The Bible teaches that humility is needed to truly see the truth, moving beyond personal validation to genuine understanding. People who preach or speak on behalf of the Bible have the difficult job of presenting God's revelation without claiming it as their own creation. This is why the guidance of the spirit is essential, leading to outcomes that can be shared without the need for personal validation. The essence of the archetypes in the Bible doesn't require a complex, detailed definition to be grasped. The Bible is the embodiment of Christ in totality—He is the Word made flesh. You don't need perfect grammar or an extensive vocabulary to understand its message; it's about what is done and how that resonates with people. This profound adaptability is what makes the Bible such a powerful and universal guide.

Wow. Greek philosophy brought to life. Going deeper and deeper to the origin of ideas. Self imposed slavery to sins. I have learned so much. It is so lively as well. I can be adicted. I want more. Beautiful. Jordan and Russel certainly use vocabulary most of us wouldn't normally use but that's the only way to be precise. Hat off.

JP, Thank you for your open mindedness, we love you. You are a great father to us all, whether we have one or don't. Bless your daughter, bless your wife, but man, thank you and bless you. I personally disagree with you, yet that's what I love about you, I can drink a beer and dislike you, but love you. I don't want my kids to hate me, but id be sure proud if they liked me how I disagree with you sir, respect.
@abrahammarzo2546 Says:
I am satan(sarcasm) without a bias, if you were an 👽, and read through people comments, you as an advanced people would quickly acknowledge the stupid ones. 🙄 Notice, like my friend told me to write down, you never told them who you were, like he said, let the idiot's be idiots. When did any of their opinions mattered other than that of violence according to history? While on class and someone would violently answer he would state, "So why would you think we would be talking about you?" Oh, a lack of intelligence requires force to force themselves into existence because they know without them, they wouldn't be chosen" just like Religion did. I thank Christopher Hitchens and Neil deGrasse Tyson, and BTW im a dispicable honorably discharged with a Top Secret clearance in the military 🪖. Be and let be my friend. Theses are two opposing parties of which none i agree with, but would still have a beer or two with. Are you too cool for that? An open mind means to be friend with the unknown, everything else is both comfort of a stagnant nature. My friend, this was a test, if you actually got angry, I wouldn't advise you to tell your son to join, the harassment(an honest test, imagine a situation where we're going to die, you need to be strong for my daughter, even if you never met her and the same for your son, if you cant handle a joke, then how much of a joke I am for being friends with a loser who loses his shit when my last words before I die I "tell him to tell her I love her, all the while hes complaining im calling him a bitch?

@tl57345 Says:
Jordan, I’m convinced of three things when I listen to you. 1. Your intelligence is clouding the perspicuity of the gospel. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬ 2. You have yet to accept the full payment of Jesus Christ for your past, present and future sins. When Jesus hung on the cross and said “it is finished”, your research will show you the Greek term translated means paid in full. What do you need to add to this full payment? Nothing! Our suffering on this earth as Christian’s is not a righteous justification but merely a consequence of following Christ. 3. You won’t understand this until you are born again-just as Nicodemus couldn’t. “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ PS: what is faith? “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Livy (The Roman Historian living at the time of Augustus…after the turmoil of the civil wars and Julius Caesar) says in the preface to his first 5 books on Roman history, “The study of history is the best medicine for a sick mind; for in history you have a record of the infinite variety of human experience plainly set out for all to see; and in that record you can find for yourself and your country both examples and warnings; fine things to take as models, base things, rotten through and through to avoid.” Livy has been such a consolation for me to read over the last few months. If your mind is disturbed…read grandfather Livy’s books. They’ve survived over 2000 years for a reason…

@mahmudrafey793 Says:
deep down inside Dr Jordan Peterson is a muslim. Peterson is effectively a Muslim because the God that he describes the highest attainable goal or maybe the highest even unattainable goal to keep the pursuit towards the greater good going, acknowledging the existence of an absolute perfection against which the imperfections of you and me contrast and thus exist, and that’s literally the God of Mohammed so and once again when you ask Dr Jordan Peterson if he believes in God he’s going to be hesitant in answering that with a yes because he knows that if you believe in God then you must submit to perfection putting your level best effort every single moment in time to be truthful and do the best possible thing that you can do and even identifying the best possible thing that you can do is so difficult and then to go ahead and put in your best to execute that that’s even more that’s almost unimaginable and Dr Jordan Peterson mistakenly attributes this to Christ well that is not mistakenly attributed to Christ at all because Christ was a man who submitted to that successfully so was Mohammed sorry, I was using voice to text. That’s why there’s no punctuations or anything. I don’t know how to use this thing very well and I wasn’t being my level best in submitting to God and putting my genuine best effort to type it out because I was eating so you could say that , the imperative to submit and acknowledge that but like like Jordan Peterson, I can’t say I believe but I’m trying
@sandhya797 Says:
I wish Instead of psychology, Jordan peterson read the Bible and extrapolated it. Time is short. I hope, Jordan, you would be able to decipher the Lord through the Holy Spirit. May God bless each of us. The Lord is a mysterious person but he makes known his secrets to those who fear Him.

Could you say this is a conversation about faith vs accepting or contending with the idea that the human race is perfectly flawed? Anyway it inspired me to write this; I think god means good Be good to your fellow human beings And good will be done by you meaning all will be well if, your will is good There for God can not punish only you can punish your self By not doing good God is willing meaning GOOD is willing Good will be done to you If you have good will GOD is GOOD God always meant do good Gods work

@sirbenjamin8619 Says:
It is an inevitable temptation for any man to turn to pride for strength, the greater the man, the greater the temptation to crush our weakness with the weight of our pride. For men especially, our pride can be and often is viewed as strength. And what source of pride and visible strength can be greater for any man then his son. 24:42 The sacrifice is always the same. Turn only to God for strength. Offer your Pride and weakness on the alter of necessity and God will bring you true strength and Glory.
