Consider this..and let me know what you think.. Words are always abstractions. Wether recorded, written, or spoken..they are just symbols that happen between people and whatever truth they may represent depends on the extent of which the two (or more) parties recognize together. Subsequently, anytime someone uses their mouth or uses words to communicate ultimate truth of any kind, they are lying. The correct reason to communicate through human abstractions is for a common goal, purpose, or strengthening the bond of relationship between their common senses. Any other reason for communication to people through words could lead to decoherence and missing the mark. As obvious and simple as this really is tho... everyone does it all the time.

I find that u talk atound everyhing instead of being direct about certain important truths. Do u believe in God or not??? Do u have a relationship with Him? I think u constantly overreach. People want to know ehat u think and feel about Almighty God. Why can't u allow that? U seem to overintellectualize any particular subject relaing to God.. Do u believe that the Bible is the Word of God? I saw u in an interview with an Btitish uoung man and u appeared so flustered and uncomfortable when dicussing God. He made it vlear that he wanted to know ehat you thought and u never gave him a direct anseer sbt anything. U even connected Jesus with yhe serpent in the Garden of Eden, which caused me to realize that u don't know the first thing sbout what Christianity truly is. The scriptures reveal to us that Satan is the original serpent. It was not Christ tempting Eve in the Garden. Sometimes the basic truth is clear and simple. The scales of justice had to b balanced when the death sentence was pronounced on Adam and Eve. God cannot violate His own laws... A perfect life was lost and a perfect life had to b forfeited in order to balance the scales. Jesus took on the sins of imperfect man so that we could have a relationship with Almighty God at great personal cost to Himself and His Son. U need to get out of your own head, Dr Peterson. What do u believe in your heart? The scriptures show us that God chose the foolish of the eorld to put the wise to shame. Put aside your need to intellectualize everything and read the scriptures as they r meant to b read. The Bible contains the basic truths of love and our restoration to God, through Christ. They also read that we should draw close to God and He will draw close to us. I hope u will do that instead of using words and ideologiy to distance yourself from your audience, covering up what u know and feel about Jesus Christ in your heart. I think u r a kind,, compassionate and brilliant man. U have great knowledge about the world and the human psyche. Look for your spiritual side and alllow us the honour of seeing it. U r more than acedemia and ideologiies. We r all spiritual beings. I wish u all the best in your spiritual journey. and hope to see u open up about your walk with God and the emotions connected to it. I watch your shows regularly and eill continue to do so, eaiting for some inner thoughts and feelings relating yo your relationship eith our Creator. All the best to u and yours.

I grew up a member of a high demand Christian based organization that i truly believed. I was a dedicated member and lived my life base on its teachings. Long story short, i learned that what i was taught was not true. It was devastating. I cried and wailed and pleaded with the God i believed in to help me find the truth. I got nothing. It left me not knowing what was true and ultimately i left the church and leaned toward atheism. I want to believe that there is a supreme creator who watches over his children but i dont know how. I have so many questions and no answers which leaves me with more doubts. Any words of wisdom woukd be helpful.

Well, the LLM's are trained using material produced by "the people at large," so it would not surprise me AT ALL to see elements of the collective unconscious psyche emerge from those models. That doesn't really mean that the AIs themselves are "plugged into" the collectie unconscious (I hold that these models have no conscious existence at all - they're just mechanisms / calculations, just as much as adding up a column of numbers is) - the bridge is the training materials. The LLMs merely REFLECT US.

God is more real than we are. Unfortunately, governments of the world are profiteering so much from sin, the governments of the world do not want the sins to stop. A casual reading of the Scriptures tells us God does not approve. When God sends the Next Carrington Event, this Age of Sin we live in will come to an end.

Dear JP, thank you for helping so many people, sharing your knowledge and being so strong without losing your empathy. I think you are a wonderful human being and I'm so thankful I found your videos on YouTube. You helping so many people shows that you have a big heart, which means to me, you love humanity, you care. That is love to me. And, you know what? God is love. Love (God) for mankind is in your heart and that love is the motor of your many ways of helping others using your knowledge and your talent to convey so clearly your messages. I'm not an expert. I'm a 49 years old woman from South America who left her country 26 years ago, running away from a disfunctional family to another continent, works in retail and still needs to learn so much in life. You've been a big big help and motivator! You're even helping me improve my English (I speak German where I am and Spanish is my mother tongue). Now I'm writing too long. Just wanted to say thank you and God bless you and your lovely wife and your loved ones! P.S.: and thank you for using Bach's Brandenburg Konzert. I love it and as I "discovered" you and heard it as your intro and closing was so happily surprised 😊

God is a concept. An ideal . An idea of perfection, moral perfection , that ancient people came up with intuitively . What other than the ideal of moral excellence, the idea of universal love and peace , and a source of hope and meaning would G od be the embodiment of ? Why all the nonsense in the b i b l e? That’s just historical fiction and myth of an ancient people and their culture There needs to be made a distinction btwn the concept of G od (ultimately incomprehensible) and the various interpretations of the concept of G od and all the religious claims and stories that come along with them No one can know if there is a G od or not . It’s just not possible to know for 100%

The Book of God's Heart The story of a girl waiting. In this story, God's loneliness enters the body of a girl, and the story begins with the girl, waiting alone. But in reality, God has written a story for Himself. In this story, God imagines Himself as a lonely girl, wanting to understand the meaning of solitude. When the girl (who is actually God?) realizes what loneliness is, she builds a cage from it, so no one else enters because she knows it is colder than winter and more disheartening. She hides her heart within this cage so no one else can taste loneliness. She sews the door of this cage shut, connecting the sky and the earth. Then, inside her heart, she feels that someone is alive, living with her. She speaks to this someone through her heart, calling it the sound and beat of her heart. Together, they beat, laugh, and cry. The sound of God's heart is God's loneliness. They understand each other well; they see one another through each other's eyes. There is only the distance of a breath between them. They are intertwined within one another, inseparable. Yet, at first, it was just an experience, but now it has become everything. There is only a breath between them. Their fear and delusion come from this single breath. Yet their dream is to embrace one another. But the girl has become accustomed to the beauty and the stories she has been told about gardens and meadows, tales of love, heart, emotions, paradise, and angels. She is not used to ugliness, as if her fear is more than just a breath—her fear is of her other face. Her fear is that if she sees this face, it will forever leave her heart. That’s why she drew a circle between the sky and the earth and hid her heart, afraid of being left alone. She fears that the voice within her will leave if it sees how terrifying and horrific she is. But gradually, they must meet. The end is near. So instead of speaking of love, she speaks of separation and hatred. Instead of paradise, she speaks of hell. Instead of angels, she speaks of demons. She describes herself. She lies, saying she is something else, for she does not want to lose me. But what did she want from me? She started with beauty, with love, with kindness. What did she want from me? What secret lies between us? If I accept that she is a wild monster who will even destroy and tear me apart, I still have to face her real face and accept her as she truly is. Her real face is darkness. I must confront the absolute darkness, meet her in it. That is the single breath between me and her. She does not appear in light and brightness. She only comes in the darkness, and I will meet her there. She is neither paradise nor an angel—she is that darkness and the devil. And she lives in the black circle of my eyes. She sees with me and lives with me. I am not myself—she is me. I am a voice deep within her, born from her loneliness. She is the truth. She speaks to me. She is the one I must accept in her essence, not her appearance. She is love itself. She is the loving voice of paradise. She is the fairy and the prince of tales. She is both the beast and beauty. She is herself and me. She is us. She is soul and body. She is spirit and heart. She is both good and bad. She is the beginning and the end. She is everything. She is us, and we are her eyes, and she is everything—both light and darkness, both ugliness and goodness. She is myself, and I am herself. My eyes deceive me, but I know that what is drawing me to her is myself. What I seek and chase is myself—it is her. We are not separate. I am searching for a missing part, a flaw, and she is pulling me toward her. It is an excuse to say I want to become more beautiful. It is an excuse to seek my lover. It is an excuse to desire wealth, status, and power, because I know none of it will stay with me. She begins with this game, like a child encouraging movement. She wants me to find her. She wants me to follow her, but not with my feet—with my heart, with my mind. She wants me to see her, but not with my eyes, because my eyes deceive me. She wants me to see her with my heart, with my soul. I must come alive to become one with her. Right now, I am dead. I must have eyes that see beyond walls and the sky, to the depths, like a light reaching infinity. I must become free from the need to eat, sleep, sex, love, and affection. I must come alive to become her before I lose my life. I must escape this prison, or I will return to another prison once again. She is everything, and I am all of her, who is searching for her.

A life of sin before Jesus must of been horrible.

God is god this is the reason doesn’t command your belief. when you break a commandment of God are you disobeying God ? Was Eve obeying God up until she disobeyed him ? This means Eve was already a sinner.

If god is in the eye of man then Jesus’s second coming is to save you. To save you from a life of sin. Sin leads to hell. If Jesus’s second coming is to save you from a life of sin does he’ll exist ? Look. I'm a fairly intelligent fellow, Iv'e taught at Universites around the country, and lectured at the Smithsonian Institute. But, damn, I have trouble following Peterson at times. His verbiage is overwhelming. Surely, JP, there is a simpler way to answer the question. It isn't complex as you make it. Is god reall? Don't respond with "what do you mean by "real" - that's SOUNDS like an evasion and it leads down a rabbit hole in which I feel like I've turned into Homer Simpson. Jeez Jordan, I love you, but keep it simple.

What if I worded it this way JP: “Do you believe the God within the Bible actually exists? The God who has a personal, emotional relationship with an evolved species of primate in one area of one planet, among billions of galaxies, each containing billions of planets (within the observable Universe alone) and cares what days of the week you work on, what fabrics you make your clothes from and what you do while naked, with the threat of eternal damnation.” Is that better?

@sonofjay817 Says:
Enough with this. I like Jordan Peterson a lot and I think he has a lot of immensely important things to say, but I can't avoid the conclusion that for him to turn the question "is God real" into something so complicated means that he hasn't accepted that God is real in the simplest sense of the term. The only reason anyone would make it that complicated is if you've only accepted the reality of God in some sort of poetic, or symbolic, or allegorical sense. Its the sort of knots that an overanalyzer could twist himself in to if asked 'Is Santa Claus' real. We all know that there isn't a fat man in a red suit that lives on the North Pole and flies around once a year delivering presents to all the world's children, but certain types of people can come up with ways that he's real in some sort of abstract way. That's what Jordan does with God, and I'm sort of tired of it. Just say no or 'I don't know' already.
