God is not weak. “Because God is so altogether alien to wrong, because it is to him a heart-pain and trouble that one of his little ones should do the evil thing, there is, I believe, no extreme of suffering to which, for the sake of destroying the evil thing in them, he would not subject them. A man might flatter, or bribe, or coax a tyrant; but there is no refuge from the love of God; that love will, for very love, insist upon the uttermost farthing.” ~ George MacDonald, Unspoken Sermons God can change the hardest heart through a combination of punishment and kindness. (When a loving father punishes it is a form of kindness. ) Check out David Artman’s interview with Curt Parton (Episode 161).

Asked what people would do after the victory of Communism and apparently he said that people would 'hunt and fish.' Hmm. It shows that that wasn't the point, the point was to torture others.
@helmhammerhand2234 Says:
You have mediocre ideas about the Stalinist Regime... It's sad. There is a gulf between Lenin's approach to state building and Stalin's.

Love Peterson, although, you don’t get to heaven by living a “good life”
@judahrex Says:
If Satan has the power and authority to give you kingdoms, then Satan has the power and authority of kingdoms, nations and countries. Therefore, Satan is the ruler of the earth. Obey the 666.
@RacingSnails64 Says:
Amazing video! "There's nothing more abominable than religion." Yeah except for communism lol. It's hard to think of two more destructive and harmful ideologies than communism and satanism--and would you look at that? They're fundamentally intertwined. "Opium of the masses." Great job debunking that cynical phrase. Christianity urges selflessness, humility, and sacrifice. Satanism urges selfishness, pleasure, and indulgence. Which one sounds more like a drug to you?
@MartzBeatz Says:
They banned the religion because they know people are willing to do lot's of thing in the name of religion and it's more probable to gather in groups and threaten the power . In communism nothing should be above the state. And in religion Christ is a "powerful" ideological single figure. They teach that the state should be the religion, no space for two religion.
@pjl8119 Says:
Marx created his own religion, cleverly cloked it in the fashionable scientific jargon of his age, and did everything he could to destroy competing religions.
@pranzata Says:
If you don’t believe in god , to me that means you’ve lived a privileged enough life to not have to

"Opiate for the Masses" was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California in 1999.
@ThaGirlLaLaLa Says:
Did the marxists even study the bible or read it? Did scientists even conduct observational studies of christians or religion? God reconciled man when Jesus conquered hell and death. The time is coming where people will be discussing the power of God manifesting in the lives of the body of Christ. Instead of the works of the flesh and spiritual wickedness in high places.
@Scythwolf Says:
Somehow religion brings out the best and the worst both in humans and that extremely so (Hamas anyone?). So there is a point to be made to reject religion as an extremist idea. But you would also eradicate everything religion does right and as history showed us - that place in humanity where religion resides gets occupied pretty fast by something else religion-like.

Communism just sacrifices everyone else
@kyrisgeorgiou9197 Says:
Pick up the burden of your incompatibility to the programming of the enemy and follow your purity for ascension. The problem is not the message which can be conveyed in a zillion ways. The problem is attributing to any fellow human being absolute purity and building around it a religious structure that crushes freedom, virtue, justice as a means to reverse what innately is our goal.

@solidgroundmusic Says:
Is it possible that Marx is referring to opium in the way that it might make one happy but keeps them from advancing? isnt that Nietche? Wherin he says that Judeo\christian ethic is a weakness that keeps the coming about of the uberman. At the end of the day I'm on your side but just trying to bring some nuance.

2:00 2:12 You nailed it Dr. Peterson.
@Chijousaikyo Says:
Great converstion, however you guys are analyzing it too deep.... What Marx wanted was to change religion and faith into his "new religion" and his "new faith" which was the doctrine of communism.
@edgarmorales4476 Says:
Some people turn to a religion for comfort and reassurance—and because of their non-comprehension. But most people will be drawn to a religion, since it will seem—humanly speaking—that a religion must hold within their wisdom and teachings, the secrets of the Source of Life. This subservience to Religious human domination, claiming to know the secrets of the universe, is a good kindergarten for immature minds. But of course, most religionists will always stubbornly deny the Truth.
@BobSmith-lb9nc Says:
Marxism is a religion (Bertrand Russell)
@TylerDevoe-ks9lc Says:
When you are in doubt regarding religion it is better to see the world like Marx rather than any celebrity you may listen to on the internet or tv. Marxism as a materialistic philosophy can inwardly reinforce your religious views by stripping them of their selfish component since doubt is typically rooted in selfishness. When you are in doubt you are typically only thinking in egoic terms of self and not in sustainable terms of selflessness. When in doubt say yes. When not in doubt say no.
@alighori89 Says:
Marx is shocked too 🤯 He is waiting for Jordan to come and he will do a podcast with him too to better explain
@oleg45678 Says:
Religion allows people to remove any responsibly from themselves and put it on The Higher Power.
@dinari1 Says:
Every religion and every character is a product of man’s imagination and delusion. Its a chronic level of cognitive dissonance that endured since the beginning of our time and will last for as long as we survive as humans… Its a pacifier to sooth us in this reality. Its really flawed and even the MOST BRILLIANT people are susceptible to its lure. Eloquence does not equal intelligence. Intellect can be a detriment to truth and honesty. Religion is the ultimate cat that cant go back in the bag. Very much like a.i. It will continue to grow uncontrollably. Unleashed and destined to run wild forever. In this programming, religion is an infinite loop, that cant be stopped..unless “something outside of this reality” resets the program because we’re incapable of doing it ourselves. The truth is that we created God/god/and gods to make sense of life and cope with this reality. Its our fault. We are both smart enough to know this truth but dumb enough (or not humble enough) to continue convincing ourselves to believe in the ultimate lie because we’re too scared of living life without the ultimate pacifier even if it turns out to be not true. Unfortunately we inherited our religions through hundreds/thousands of generations and we’re too ashamed to disown at this point and probably forever.
@deeannakim9306 Says:
How many wars (up to this point) fought in the name of God and whose religion is more superior……Religions are twisted and used as a weapon against others. Religions are misinterpreted and presented as poisons ……..as long as there are religious wars and oppression of others religions are not interpreted correctly.

This is an interesting subject, but I find it annoying that Dr.Peterson frequently hijacks his guest''s train of thought and takes over the conversation.

*note: by my inherent thankfulness, thank you for your consideration. The following is a modified expression of the climate of societies that has developed over decades and is far from transparent to individuals in need of daily procurement of livelihood, for example. The daily life of the individual in history does have need of unbiased information in communications regarding the individual's daily life challenges, of course, this is obvious, communicators need to strive for transparency to foster the lifting the "veil," by societal trends. There's a need for: - educators, for natural language historical perspective in regard to impartiality; - journalists, in regard to the fields of study, not just current event news; *and* - governance in regard to each institution, the "house" of prayer communities as well as the "house" of state communities;- Communities who have a specific perspective that disseminates information;- *of course, to be aware of potential biases in information communication. Especially when it comes to long-term societal trends that might not be readily apparent. Some goals of help to inform communities: Strategies for Impartial Information: Highlighting Societal Trends: It is helpful, of course, to study historical data and social studies research to identify long-term trends that might be influencing information communication. Identifying Potential Biases: Researching and identifying different types of biases, such as confirmation bias or cultural bias, that might be shaping information presentation. Promoting Critical Thinking: I can help you develop resources that encourage educators and journalists to approach information critically and evaluate its sources and potential biases. ~ Spreading Awareness: Development of Educational Materials: By use of draft summaries of research on societal trends and biases, formatted for educators and journalists. Analyzing Media Coverage: Develop reports by the studies in regard to existing news reports or educational materials to identify potential areas for improvement in terms of bias awareness. Fact-Checking and Verification: I can help you develop resources and tools to promote fact-checking and verification of information across different fields. Addressing Concerns for Freedom of Speech for a Just Change: The individual as a human being person has inherent rights during life, dignity during life, and inherent self-worth during life. Each has the right to express in freedom of speech in venues of public forums in an unbiased climate for the individual human being person, and this needs to be encouraged by those who have the seat of forming such a climate of unbiased climate to share information from each individual human being person who needs the opportunity to express one's self in perspective of life experience. Personal belief or faith can be expressed in that freedom of speech does not impose belief, of course, the focus of this discussion can remain on the broader issue of information bias in education, news reporting, and governance.

“Our world demands balance between positive negative and neutral forces. This is something we cannot change. What we can manipulate is how we allow these energies to channel through us as individuals ultimately affecting others”.
@innerdimensionsinc.1281 Says:
He was an idiot (MARX) who did not understand the laws of the universe, it is simple, just because something has the potential to be all out evil and dangerous does not mean it is, or whatever it stems from is all evil or dangerous either. The pendulum, the law of polarity, rhythm, and the law of vibration. We still operate on these as freemasons. The hearts of people are out of rhythm with the earth, and needless to say, we are in the shadows. Practicing these laws, to the contrary of public opinion.
@tonyshine89 Says:
Hell is not where you put your enemies. Hell is where you go if you dont obey the religion. Of course it is for mass control. Religion has its societal benefits, but to deny some simple truths that are imvonvinient make Dr Peterson lose credibility.

It seems more likely that atheism Is a sedative Opium for mass “atheists” , those whose Secular values «seems to them firm enough & stand still, BUT when A Raging Bull of catastrophe _ caused by human made weapons, environmental disasters, ……… _ comes to break with its wrathful horns the tiny layer of ice on the surface of the mire & leave behind itself all secular moralist Baron Munchausens in the flux» I wonder if they can “pull themselves out of the mire by pulling their own hairs”, & even if they could, what percentage of them on «The Road» to their Ideal “Rational secular humanism” Utopia would still be «After Virtue» (assuming they already are, in this normal situation) & what percentage would be after fresh living meat! ( or the least «first seeking» to store up T paper, as much as they can) /// there’s a rumour that few years ago when a pandemic broke out in a Semi - utopia Island, « a mad man with a lantern checked out all empty shops, shouting: I seek some T paper, I seek some T paper » & got out empty-handed, muttering: indeed, « Apocalypse Now »! 😀…,

Jesus is God first of all, and sec9ndly their is happiness because Jesus paid the price, so it's a free gift. That doesn't mean there's rules God wants us to follow, with consequences for those who don't follow. The joy is, although they can be punished or chastised, they'll never go to hell!

@Antonvisional Says:
Crime without victims is the real problem in the world. I belive the lack of individual freedom is the root of crimes/depression/and the people not working. This is not sutainable for the developed countries that surely are suppose to make people safe and able to live free. To make the most simple and tell me if its ok and sustainable for cocieties. 2 elderly humans decide that they dont want 1 person to be able to smoke cannabis, even if the person in this example is a person that smokes cannabis, loves life, love to work and to contribute to society has good moral code and principles of freedom and to treats everybody with respect. But these 2 elderly or any people just dont want it to be allowed, even if its not hurting anybody. So its 2 vs 1. Now we have 2 choices. 1 we put up regulations and rules so the 2 people can be free from surtain people. 2 we dont allow this majority to be free from anybody that is not direcly commiting crimes that has victim. Now in option 1, you strip this one person of his individual freedom to please these to people. option 2 you let people have there individual freedoms no matter what peoples personal opinion is. Now consqence thinking. On one hand you got a person that is deprived of indivisual freedom, that could become an issue, creating people that feel like they are in chains for no good reason. On the other hand you get two Karens that most likely would keep being karens even if they get what they want. This is society in a nutshell. I end this with, you should not build a society based on eleminating groups of people to please the bigger group. Build society based on individual freedom. Individual freedom is the path to really grow a population were the best versions of humans can thrive, and not the karens.
