I came here trying to remember why my education pushed me away from socialism and I'm kind of hippie. I hate right wing ideology but I fear left wing ideology is equally toxic. I learned long ago that egalitarian communal living breaks down at human groups exceeding 150 individuals. Capitalism is not human nature, but neither necessarily is socialism. Is our country having issues, yes. Are we ready for a utopian egalitarian socialist society? No. Has not capitalism launched us into the freedoms we enjoy today? Have we not made adjustments along the way? Are new adjustments necessary now? ABSOLUTELY. The dogmatic adherence to one system is what will destroy us. The propaganda that we are a scuorage to the earth and capitalism entirely should be discarded in favor of system that removes personal liberty is a cancer. The youth despise themselves, this country, our necrotic system. They are told to hate and die, not offered the space to innovate and appreciate. We need a workers revolution, not to squabble about right and left. No one has come up with any new ideas. Just clashing hateful identity politics. Meanwhile those in power become just as oligarchic as any failed communist state.

I guess a question I had at University as an Economics and Math Student is why - since Manufacturing seems to promise production for all and seems to solve some if not all of our material needs in Economics - why suddenly do people propose and support Communism? How can Communist Bureaucrats do a better job of solving problems than the system we have in America? I admit that I do not understand all this and I do research and study every day to unlock the secrets. But as you point out... lying for any system has it's perils and I am being harassed for the good work I did in College by those who do not like - for example - Economic Democracy far more than people did to defend their proposed changes. I definitely don't like the idea of lying when I feel certain some people out there must know the truth.
