TO the Narrator of #@BIOGRAPHIES, You speak so fast. It is very hard to understand what you are saying. Even the closed caption cannot keep up. We wonder? Either you're on speed or several cups of 4 shot espresso? We meaning, the whole Histories class of 32 students. Which will change every 3 months to a new crop of young learned adults of 30 to 40 students will NOT subscribe. This year you were voted out for this very reason. I simply cannot keep rewinding to replay what is not caught by the human ear. This video alone had to be stopped- rewound- and replayed 42 times. 🤬 It took an hour to watch a 19 min 13 sec presentation on your channel😔 So frustrating for everyone involved. I only have an hour per class to teach. Please do better. The material is terrific but the presenter needs much work. 🤔

My great great uncle dated her while she was in Cincinnati and she gave him a pocket watch for Christmas one year…my family still has that pocket watch with the engraving “To Larry from Annie with love”

Awesome! Now that is a female role model!
@jadehathaway4336 Says:
If she was part of that squeeze through this woman would have been one deadly female of the law or a deadly female Outlaw no Lawman would want to tangle with
@ronque23 Says:
She really made a great life for herself! A legendary sharpshooter with perseverance and very beautiful in my opinion.

Thank you for blowing smoke (gun smoke, that is) in the face of those two movies, one play, and a 1957 tv series -- all of which portrayed Ms. Oakley as a loud-mouth buffoon in a sexy costume. In the musical "Annie Get Your Gun," she's singing "gunslinger," to use their word. When I was a teenager, my Dad took me to the shooting range, where learned to be a crack shot with a .22 rifle. Because I can handle that light-weight gun, I can appreciate the skill it took Ms. Oakley with her Smith & Wesson and her Winchester. She is being honored now at the National Women's History Museum, here in Washington, D.C.
@WildManMedia Says:

Annie has always been a hero to me. She was truly amazing. She didn't just take what life handed her. She worked hard to become what she was. That's why we're still talking about her today.

After watching this video, my daughter (age 6) wants to be like Annie. Her old man’s response? “You’re getting a .22 for Christmas, sweetheart.”
@DCandtheInsectobytez Says:
11:30 That's not actual footage of her is it?
@stevenmartinek815 Says:
Annie Oakley thought she was a good shot. She let her confidence get the best of her and challenged Simon Whistler to a shooting contest. Mrs. Oakley shot the leg off a fly at 100 yards. Now it's Mr. Whistler's turn. Simon Whistler made a gun out of a stick and a piece of tin foil, packed a clump of dirt into a bullet, loaded the weapon, took aim and fired. A can was set up in the continent of South America and the dirt bullet hit it's mark over 30,000 miles away. Annie was humbled.

In my opinion, Annie Oakley is an inspirational figure for both men and women to follow. She showcases how one can rise up from absolute bottom, take care of their family, and find success.

It's insane to me that I'm barely in my 30's, but I do have a grandmother who was born in 1927. I like to compare different historical events to how old she was at the time, and it's insane to me that Annie Oakley died only one year before my grandmother was born!
@drewadventurehistorytv Says:
She is kinda like the Katniss Everdeen of the old west
@thatguy66199 Says:
Can you look into making a video about Ishi of the Yahi tribe? I believe that he was the last known native american to come into civilization. Interesting background and he lent a lot of knowledge to archery and bow building, among other insights.
