When Benjamin Harrison was President, electricity was brought into the White House. This was back in a time when a majority of ppl used gas lamps for light in the dark. The lights were kept on even in the late hours after dark. They were afraid to touch the light switches bcz they thought that they'd get electrocuted.
@brooksblake5493 Says:
Is Joe Biden the new Benjamin Harrison? Both only served a single term sandwiched between the two presidencies of their predecessor and successor.
@easyenetwork2023 Says:
Sad that good Presidents don’t get a good chance to implement their full policies.
@easyenetwork2023 Says:
Not surprised the Republicans were the first to waste a budget surplus.
@willowlove7008 Says:
Found out today through ancestry that he's my 3rd cousins 8xs removed.
@EdDean-m7r Says:
I wonder why he isn't buried at the family crypt at North Bend Ohio . His father and grand father are.
@dickiegreenleaf750 Says:
I’ve never seen so many commercials on a YouTube channel in my life. I actually watched more commercials than actual video. This channel stinks.
@davewagner5408 Says:
You can't go by most presidential rankings. Many will rank Obama near the top. Only because he's black,not great
@JakeToGo Says:
Dojyaan~
@clarencemcgregor8568 Says:
Unfortunately there is another one which I would rather forget!
@MKULTRA-TV Says:
I used to do president guess who with my buddy all the time and never onced notice Benjamin Harrison. I know of every other president but him. Why has he been silenced! Dude was the first president to have electricity installed in white house!!!!!!!!!!! Trump probably admires this guy !🎉❤
@KrispyyDream Says:
dojyaaaaaaaaaannn
@reformerpcusa Says:
He’s also the only president to be ordained as far as I’m aware, serving as an elder in the PCUSA.
@kolcs Says:
Wait...tarrifs don't magically boost the economy?
@reesejabs1895 Says:
He wasn't inconsequential, but not highly remembered. A poor presidency, but a good guy.
@corvusheller328 Says:
He caused the Panic of 1893 that Cleveland was unjustly blamed for
@billmason2785 Says:
I'm slapped ham😂
@mojorisin7371 Says:
To me Benjamin Harrison is one of the worst presidents of all time. The wounded knee massacre. involved nearly three hundred Lakota people killed by soldiers of the United States Army. The massacre is also referred to as a "mass shooting" by many sources and is often termed the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Along with every other political leader of the times his misguided support for the McKinley Tariff and Sherman Silver Purchase Act may have contributed greatly to the economic collapse of 1893 the greatest depression in American history up to that time. He seemed insensitive and unaware of the massive industrial changes that had overtaken America or of the poverty that Jacob Riis wrote about in his classic study How the Other Half Lives (published in 1890); of the depths of economic hardship affecting the nation's farmers as they fell down the economic ladder to tenancy, and of the industrial crisis that began to topple railroads, banks, and business corporations like dominoes within days of his retirement from office. So definitely not a good president and deserves his bottom ranking.
@Auron12786 Says:
When making my videos, he was the president I had most trouble remembering. The fact that he looked like Santa Claus with shorter hair and beard, and giving him Christmas songs was all I could do to remember him
@jeffpack2158 Says:
Was there a presidential election in 1854?
@พีรพัทธ์ศิริเสรีวรรณ Says:
He didn't pick a napkin.
@Mastergoatyt2410 Says:
Dojyaaan~
@leenightingale2352 Says:
As I recall, he was the first president to use electricity at the White House, the first president to have his voice recorded while in office, and the first president to be in a motion picture while in office. AKA The first modern president.
@ShoutingMeatball Says:
What a badass
@danhobson24 Says:
He served in between Grover Cleveland’s two terms
@markborn3760 Says:
At 12:25 into the video, our narrator says that the Republicans had not lost a presidential election since 1854. This is incorrect. The Republican party was formed in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854, but there was no Presidential election that year. Their first candidate in 1856, John C. Fremont, lost to Buchanan. However, with Lincoln's victory in 1860, the Republicans would go on to win the next six contests
@abdullahalghamdi664 Says:
Wrong bruh , everyone knows that the 23rd president of the US is funny valentine , even non Americans know it , it’s a common fact .
@darkwyrm21 Says:
Fun fact his house is now a museum, and I used to live across the street from it
@guss99999 Says:
Funny valentine
@thomascars1 Says:
Im willing to bet that Chester Arthur is way more forgettable. I have tried and have never been able to find any accomplishments he has had during his tenure
@vih_brj Says:
The guy summoned an entire fandom
@terryburke2620 Says:
The more of Simon’s videos I watch the more I’m starting to think he’s a dirty liberal who falls for all of their lies

Only grandfather (William Harrison) & grandson (Benjamin Harrison) as POTUS.
@StephenLuke Says:
RIP Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901)
@eldorado6770 Says:
Joe Biden 🍦, the forgeten President.
@MrPro897 Says:
arguably the less known President of the Gilded Age
@shonuff5297 Says:
We know all about him in Indiana. We still have Fort Benjamin Harrison.
@dvferyance Says:
I think Joe Biden will also go down in history as a forgettable president.
@drakecarter1780 Says:
Benjamins reputation is like when you start a new game and haven't picked to be a hero or villain yet. You are neutral.
@gallibon1319 Says:
I actually know of him because he's related to William Henry Harrison.
@CaptainHowdy1973 Says:
To be fair the majority of presidents to serve in the 19th century were forgotten. Without Googling can you name all the presidents from John Adams to William McKinley?
@hungk69 Says:
I'd be difficult too if I felt freemasons assassinated my grandfather and were covertly taking over the country. Calling someone a human iceberg means he's cold, not a nerd. Pretty sure he'd wipe the floor with this baldingly debonair 007 genius
@Loki-Sf Says:
Dojyaan!
@saitamathecoder1386 Says:
I'm sure this guy loves picking the napkin first
@haroonrashid-fk7dy Says:
His grandad was president
@crazyman8472 Says:
Benjamin Harrison is not to be fucked with. He was quick, stocky, and efficient with his actions, and according to historian William DeGregorio, he “tackled problems through mastery of detail.” —from “How To Fight Presidents”, by Daniel O’Brien
@NilabhSingh-it3zw Says:
This is so fake. Everyone knows that the real 23rd president is Funny Valentine
@Melissa0774 Says:
I never noticed it before, but I think I can actually see the resemblance between him and they guys from Pawn Stars. They're related. I forget if he's a great grandfather or a cousin, but they are directly related.
