I bought some Casio Proteks that are atomic sync'd and solar charged, maintenance free forever, grab them and go and the time is always right within plus minus 5 seconds. My Huawei smart watch was useless, and now Android Wear is dead and nothing google on it works anymore... the play store, the apps, the mail, nothing. The question is, what is the entire world suppose to do with their dead useless Android Wear watches. If you create a product, you should support it forever, esp. if the world adopts it as an operating system.

I've been thinking about getting this watch. Hearing about the bad battery turns me off of it a little bit, though. I couldn't care less about the Fitbit integration. I'd never use that. I'd love to have Google Assistant and Google Fit on my wrist, though. Google Fit is the least expensive way I've found to get a Wheelchair activity. I'm in a wheelchair, and it's really frustrating that most manufacturers of fitness devices don't take wheelchairs into account.

Finding things "wrong" with these new gadgets is becoming more and more difficult.
Oh I have to charge it once throughout the day, but only if I wear it to sleep. And the charging is super fast. Lol. That seems so ridiculous to even point out.
Or how "do not disturb" doesn't carry over to the watch if you enable it on your phone. Not every function has to carry over; do you expect the flashlight function to carry over?

The 18 hour battery life doesn't bother me. Especially since I don't use sleep tracking because I am an aggressive sleeper. So, I just charge it overnight anyway.

If I understand it correctly, the new watch is not compatible with the old bands. If that's true, that's extremely disappointing and I don't even have the old watch or bands. It's just a bit of a kick to the groin for people who invested in those accessories.

I haven't bought this watch yet but i'm tempted to get it. i'm a pretty big fan of Google and have a few of their things so i kind of want something like this. This is the first watch i've seen with google pay so it's very similar to the apple watch. As for the heart rate, it's more beneficial for a heart monitor going 24/7 rather than randomly checking. This will make sure your heart isn't beating abnormally and can detect changes that you can show your doctor. The fitbit part is the biggest con. that is the biggest set back but im hoping theyll consider some changes to it
