As an aside. Think about the proscriptions enumerated in Hammurabi's Code - then think about when they date to. Now think about = the "10 Commandments". Moral of the story: the Commandments appear to be a "Christianized" version of some of the old Babylonian code proscriptions. When one considers how the Babylonians controlled parts of what would become the "Jewish homeland" - upon which the Christian religion was based - then one sees the stereotypical "overlap" encountered between differing cultures for which the beliefs of one can insinuate themselves into subsequent cultures which follow. The Christian Flood story as another example dovetails into the older Akkadian account. So these ancient codes and beliefs over time were adapted into what followed such as has become part of mainstream religions today. 🤔

Hammurabi's ancestor was a man named Sumu-Abum who founded the dynasty followed by his son Sumu-la-El then Sabium then Hammurabi's grandfather, Apil-sin then his father the mentioned Sin-Muballit and then Hammurabi himself. and that is Hammurabi's family history and the early kings of Babylon.
