Only putting an M1/M3 in the iMac was a way to sell the Pro Studio Display.. cause you gotta buy some variant of the Mac mini form factor. Kinda smart.. and not like you get a bad setup, just quite expensive.
With that said though. that like 4-HDMI super monitor they released in 2004 that is 1080p STILL looks better than some lower end 4k displays. If I were rich, I'd go all in like that.. solid investment in your quality of life.

Apple literally removes features only to bring them back later like a new feature to give people a reason to buy their “new” products. I’m all Apple, but it’s pretty shady what they do. There was absolutely no reason to remove ports, make the keyboards horrible to type on, and remove mag charge… I just want to smack them over their heads sometimes.

Strange with the Mac Air M1 I just purchase Apple does not tell you there are no USB 3 ports. So after you buy it you must search for a USB-C adapter. Also the battery is not replaceable; kinda forces you to buy a new one in five years and affects the resale value.

It doesn’t take anything of the screen, you don’t notice it, it looks cool and it makes opening up the thin laptop easier.
