After watching this video, i think i have made up my mind, I think i prefer to buy the 3x more expensive Streacom BC1 Mini V2, Especially after seeing the flimsy plastic PSU holder... and no space for cable management underneath.

I'd hate to meet you and Stanley in a dark alley.
@BleughBleugh Says:
Thanks for this, almost pulled the trigger on one, to mount upside down under a desk!, will research a little more now to make sure i have a solution to keep the power supply sturdy!

A nerd with a razor knife. A bad combination that can only lead to doom. Doom I say!

Wonderful video! I have since discovered the MakerBeam series of 15x15 (XL), 10x10 and 5x5 (XS) beams too, nice for my SBC fleet.

Excellent points there Patrick, but I don't think that we should rush headlong into ai either

I could not understand the interest in the open frame approach, but with this video, I see how useful it can be. Very good video overall.
@Amanda-f3i1b Says:
I want a open case pc too 😂 💅🏻 🖥️

Another great video, you’ve really helped to inspire my son and myself into the world of tech, @moviemayhem2012 a lot of his tech projects are inspired by your channel, a very well structured channel. He’s recently acquired a LilyGo t-deck LoRa to try with micro python perhaps to send receive data perhaps control something! Have you had experience with these devices?
@ElDerpy Says:
I'll have to google this stuff and see what kinds of crazy custom builds people have made with it.
@huybo02 Says:
Nice. I always want to build this little one.
@BWGPEI Says:
My Dad, who built composite aircraft (See Burt Rutan) always said 'If all else fails, read the destructions!" After the fifth aircraft built, I did catch him perusing the video assembly manual most carefully, grin.

It's amazing to me that some very smart person designed this rig and is selling it. Very cool and solid looking unit. Great video as usual Chris.
@bcal5962 Says:
That was a super cool case. Great video
@iscariotproject Says:
i simply removed all the plastic and side doors and front on my case..been runnign that way for a decade...best chassi ever..filled the front with fans and superglued a powerbutton to the chassi

How one man brought civilization to it's knees by using the drive mounts for the support bracket. You rebel.
@petkos1981 Says:
So you got similar computer project. I got parts from AliExpress: Machinist X99 motherboard, Intel Xeon E5 2670 V3 CPU processor gets cooled by Teucer UT45 with TDP 150W, TEUCER Computer Desktop Switch Button. and parts NOT from AliExpress for minimizing any fire risk: Computer gets powered by Asus TUF 750W. Memory single Kingston 16 Gb, so 3 slots still free for memory expansion in the future. Coming up 250 GB NVMe SSD for speeding up the system. and Arctic heatsink cooling the SSD. Current computer case is huge for a small motherboard, but I´ve thinking about something like that open chassis, quite affordable, or Thermaltake The Tower 300, looks really good, but it is quite expensive for me. Graphics card I´ve been thinking some with 4 x hdmi and is cheap, maybe GeForce GT 730, or something similar with passive cooling. Linux Mint works quite good so far
@odopaisen2998 Says:
lol -- only 500€ (less is more)
@Ralphwading Says:
The case does work great for testing. Always looking forward to your videos.

How long will this last until someone gets water or other liquid where you don't want it, usually when your not there
@freednighthawk Says:
I would personally 3D print a mount for the buttons and lights that mounts to the 2 unused PSU screw holes. I'd also probably upgrade the buttons and lights because.... Shiny.
@robsin2810 Says:
For some reason, this one did my 77 year old head in. I will have sleep on this.🙏🇦🇺👍
@givezerofx Says:
Antec Skeleton I miss you and your 1000w power supply 😂
@timballam3675 Says:
Would that new motherboard be the same one I'm expecting from Milk-V?
@timballam3675 Says:
Got mine for less than £30 on a Chinese marketplace. 🤣🤣🤣

Not convinced about all the Perspex mounting brackets, especially for something the weight of a PSU. But if it's good enough for Shakespeare (or possibly Homer, the jury's still out on that) it's good enough for me.
@Rendraco79 Says:
great video!
@ThomasBrisco Says:
One should *always* use technologies that are well-endorsed by 15th century playwrights! Love your sense of humor!
@YoutubeHandlesSuckBalls Says:
Looks completely duplicable with a 3D printer and just a little time. I think I'd use the power supply as a base for the motherboard to sit on. Reduces the footprint down to ITX size and eliminates the flimsy power supply plate.
@FINNIUSORION Says:
Very cool. I printed out an eatx open frame wall mount kit . My kids stole it to play fortnite in the living room lol.
@giannistsolebas6962 Says:
How do you always manage to give me the solution I was looking for, before I even ask you Christopher?
@roybixby Says:
Would make a great bench computer ...
@Kw1161 Says:
Thanks Chris for another exciting Open Mini ITX video and thoughtfully including Stanley the Knife and Mr Scissors and even Mr. Phillips! Here in Tucson, Arizona I would have to construct a dome over the works to keep the dust out ....:)! Have a great week!
@ВасильМариніч Says:
Дуже цікаве відео... Я думаю, що даний продукт може бути використаний в якості перевірки і тестування материнських плат, а також їх ремонту... Тільки кабель короткий... Дякую, Кріс!
@quincy1048 Says:
I just found out about extrusion marteral a while bac, I had NO idea they was using it form computer open style cases...very cool. Love the ablity to entend it...I could see a cluster based on this, but stacking a large number of 500w power supplies most likely not a good idea. But time to go explore the possiblities...thank you for the video.
@srvuk Says:
No it isn't April 1. One of the most bizarre products that I have ever seen. Talk about a long winded way to solve a problem that doesn't really seem to exist.

@5:48 those square nuts look like Meccano... 😊

I've used that exact same frame for years as a test bench Using only 4 screws , i can attach a mini-its, m-atx or atx. Works great! I'm really happy to see you review it
@extremelydave Says:
A very slick little bugger!!!
@Jim-w3b Says:
The fan on your rig looks like it needs a CLEANING check good thank you.
@richardwernst Says:
Interesting, thanks. It wasn't clear to me how the tall rods held the pcie card, looked like it should go through the slot at the top where a screw would go on a regular case, but it wasn't there, or did I not see it right? Also, what/how did you make the SSD bracket, 3D printed? Lastly, I'd have liked to see it set up with the power supply UNDER the chassis, out of the way, yet still easy to get to, connect, etc. Just need "legs" on either end of the chassis to bring it up/clear the supply height.
@AppliedCryogenics Says:
Reminds me of a crypto-mining rig.
@awjaaa Says:
Went to 100% open-air rigs during the pandemic, when we had a small team of hixars in the top 50 teams for folding at home... and never went back. But, beware! you are subjecting yourself to RF interferance by not enclosing things peoperly.
@Andrew_Waite_Stuff Says:
Great video. Could this rig be used or adapted for the older AT format (as opposed to ATX format) motherboards from the early and mid-1990s?
@savagegtalks5912 Says:
so a mini version of many crypto rigs, but littler and cuter. You can get all kinds of spare or extra parts like more corners, mountings w screws and such on the interwebs
@dougb3647 Says:
Instructions in English and no need for a magnifying glass to read.
