Hello. Wanted to know are these Sd Express cards and the other newer micro sd cards, where they designed for new pc's with Ai features or other new Ai type programs, that may not have come out yet on the market?
I have seen some mini pc's with usb 3.0, usb 3.1, and usb 3.2 ports. I wasn't sure about those ports, and i was thinking it could speed up the copy process for older micro sd cards with A1 or A2 and U1 or U3 features. Just not familiar with these newer micro sd cards, more so working with cheaper sd cards with maybe A1, A2, or uhs1 rating.
With the current costs of micro sd cards, you have to really shop around. Have heard micro sd card prices may come down around later end of 2028.

So the write speed for collection of files are comparable to the sequential write of a decent HDD, that's not bad at all, there's some SATA SSDs that are slower, but then again, people shouldn't use sd cards and microsd cards for data storage, aside from on the go.

I copy my Steam library games to storage them on 2280 SSD m.2 and use an MINI SSD card reader from Biwin over USB 4 docking station (PULWTOP TB4 dockingstation) and it is very fast (internal copy in device from MINI SSD to 2280 m.2 (Gen 4x4) big games between 90 GB to 130 GB (maybe 60 to 80 seconds). I like this new storage type MINI SSD but nobody will buy a 2 TB BIWIN MINI SSD for 750 Euros, thats more than crazy. the price for PCIe M.2 are in an utopian pricerange soon if this wont will stop. Thank U, my questions are answered now after this video and demonstration in benchmarks (and in duing praxis - with the drop down to 200 mb/s, thats to low for me.) THX

SD express is used in high-end cameras (think 4K). Not sure about microSD variant.

Referring to "USB 3 Gen 2" is confusing if you include the "3.2 gen 2" because you have to ignore the .2 bit, because the USB-IF standard names are confusing. Please just say _either_ USB 3 10Gbps; or you could say USB 3 Gen 2.
Realistically gen 2 means "3.1" originally", but USB-IF made this confusing because 3.0 is the same as 3.1g1 and 3.2g1

Have you benchmarked the MicroSD Express cards in a USB3 and USB2 MicroSD UHS reader? I'm curious if they offer significantly better random IO performance on the slower card readers and if that will result in better performance for legacy systems.
