You should make a video like this for Garuda.. It's very much in the same vein as Nobara and has a lot of preinstalled programs and "assistant" launchers, etc. For gaming and content creation. I think you would like it too.

I've been enjoying Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition on my pre-built Dell desktop, but *Nobara* has recently captured my attention. I believe it would be ideal for gaming (in particular -- I'm an avid Steam user) and dabbling with content creation tools (which is something I've always wanted to try, but have yet to put my hands on), on a separate PC (featuring an NVIDIA graphics card) that I'll soon be putting together.

Unpacking my new laptop tomorrow. Installing Nobara Linux over the preinstalled freedos is the first thing I am going to do. I am looking forward to finding out how well Nobara handles both gaming and programming/development tasks, as those are my main use-cases.
Edit: It has been a couple of days and so far everything is installing and running smoothly both on the gaming and on the development side. Thus far I can definitely recommend nobara Linux!

Only issue with Nobara after about a year is the fellas rush to be on the cutting edge means updates that fail on install is common. In this past year I've had to reinstall 4 or 5 times over failed or looping updates. Otherwise no real issues.

Semi-Important note: since this video was published, Nobara has switched from GNOME to KDE for its "official" ISO. Which is a stylized KDE installation. Vanilla versions of GNOME and KDE are available still. Thanks for the video!

Can you do a video on the install process for Nobara 39? It seems that some things have changed, as on reboot after install, there is something not working with the grub. I used the erase the entire disk option, letting the install set up what it thought would be best. If you are finding the same issue, could you show how to do a manual partitioning?

I am seriously considering throwing away Widows and move to Linux, but I was unsure (still am) about Linux limitations regarding drivers for various divices or apps such as DXO Photolab, Topaz, Affinity Photo and Davinci Resolv, and some other important apps. It is of course not Linux's fault that these companies don't develop drivers or adapt their software to Linux, but still.
But it is a great relief to see that with this version of Linux one can install Davinci R. easily and the app runs stably...Thank you!

This may be a "DUG" for some, and may not apply to everyone. but my latest experience with Nobara was a nightmare and I deleted it. Found out that the computer with Linux on it was spazzing out with the "Legacy USB" feature enabled in BIOS. Not casting any negativity on Nobara at all. Just wanted to throw this out there if anyone is having input issues and seems like things are locking up on you and not responding, if could just be the USB freaking out.

I'm not having luck with this distro. Both 37 and 38 versions only boot to desktop when the OS want, it's just random. Normaly it just stuck on black screen with a dash o top left without any hdd led indicating it's been loading.

I've decided today that I'm done with Windows after my PC froze and crashed in the middle of what I was playing because it wanted to run and update. I'm so tired of not having any agency over my PC. I am extremely happy to finally running across a system that had creators in mind allowing for DaVinci Resolve being flawlessly installed and even on AMD which is my config. Uhm... this will be a rant somewhat... I am not the dude that easily give my unconditional praise to something...
Tested it, it fall short on Grub... Installed grub-customizer to rearrange the boot options, as no living soul can edit grub manually and understand what they are doing, as it has become to complicated...
Anyway, no entries were listed except for Windows on another HD... Did not dare to make any changes with it, did some research and it seems like this distro is based on Fedora who have changed how Grub works slightly, enough to brick grub-customizer.
It might be good at what it does, but not to be able to set the default OS on boot? or the timeout values?
Yes, there are other boot managers... but I will need yet another HD to set it up... and I do not know what OS it should hold.
Other then that, it looks good and are easy to install stuff, but there seems to be very little (compared to others) to install from the provided "App store".
I had had a few issues with zip files and the built in archive manager, the resulting extraction resulted in 0 bytes, had to resort to a snap version of 7zip to get it to work...
I just wish that the Linux community took all good parts from every distro and put it in one final Windows killer distro, but no! Every distro has a good portion that is just what you like and want, then they mess things up with a few implementations that makes it weird.
Like the Elementary OS for example, where you can't place icons on the desktop to my knowledge so it went to the bin, likewise this probably will to - unless it is extreme good...
Nevertheless, it was a great video and you got my thumbs pointing up, maybe there soon will be a review of a distro that has it all, the distro for me...
