The pass through is bad imho. It’s laggy and bland. The keyboard is *necessary* for me if i use it for work (which is its main purpose for me). The screen clarity is the best i’ve seen, but still not enough. I’m so looking forward to the v2. As a first gen product it’s A+ but needs a few fast follow generations before they slow down dev on it.

Yeah, common sense

I feel like local shared experiences shouldn't be too hard. Both devices are clearly doing some sort of SLAM like how robots do to navigate, it shouldn't be too hard to share a 3D point cloud between the two devices and sync that periodically, especially if you tag your point not just with where they are but when, then you only have to sync new data over the local wifi. Also memory of spaces could also be done with wifi, using the network you are connected to as an identifier of "oh, I'm connected here, use this space" or even GPS if the headset has it to say "I'm at these coords, I probably need to be thinking about this point cloud".

A beacon to have locus memory is kind of redundant if the device already has your gps location

When you were talking about 2 people seeing the same thing in the same room like an object but it not working because the each person has a different perspective or angle, why can’t the device shared that information between them if they are linked up like coordinates or can share sensor data. Idk I’m not an expert on talking about these things. But surely both headsets could share data like that?

Hey you do see that influences have a lot to do with items changing and what the manufacturers do so can you please let them know that they can bring 3D movies to the headsets That's Apple and meta and it would be very much appreciated to everyone because the only time you get to see a 3D is in the theater and that's it there's no other way to really view a 3D movie they're missing a great opportunity to resale movies in 3D for the headsets someone needs to come up with a screaming app for the headsets that do 3D movies so you don't have to keep the content on your headset like they do with voodoo and all the other screaming movie apps they're really missing a great opportunity wish I could do it because that's a short way to make some sure money no special glasses because each lens is the glass they're separate Hope you hear on this on one of your upcoming podcast or videos would love to see the old 3D movies over again now you can only see them in 2D....

I agree with all your recommendations. This is a first generation product and as usual it has room to improve.

How is Vision Pro a tool in your workflow? Or, is it starting to collect dust already.

100% agree with your feedback! As a software developer I believe that a couple of your wishes are easy to realise. The memory for different locations should be easy to realise with the help of your iPhone and Apple ID. Geo fencing is one part of the equation to recognise the different locations and iCloud storage is the other. Remembering where you placed your apps and their state when and where you left them requires very little memory. As for integration of iPhone notifications into the Vision Pro; that's what Apple calls "developer opportunity". If Apple does not implement it in the next visionOS update some developer will make lots of money with their App filling the gap until Apple does. I have to admit that I am not aware of a communication kit between visionOS and iOS, though. And the keyboard thing should be easy for bluetooth Apple keyboards. Each of these keyboards has a model identifier. Link that with a 3D model of the keyboard and visionOS would be able to cut out the shape of the keyboard on the fly from the rendered environment.

To me, it seems like an unfinished product, but they set a deadline for themselves and still made something awesome. Software updates could make it a much better product. Hardware improvements and third-party accessories would make it wonderful.
@magicmanchloe Says:
Is it that Apple does not allow shared virtual experiences? Or that there’s a technical imitation of the API that prevents it? Or is it just that no one built a map that does it yet?

Can someone next to you open an app accidentally? Do the goggles know your hands specifically or anyone's hands ? Thanks .

google lens on apple vision pro would be great, at least for translation texts in real time. would be also nice that google add some AI utility to that app, some image recognition in real time aswell like what ChatGPT is doing. Or directly add ChatGPT to Apple vision pro...

Why do we have to wait five years to get the vision pro for probs lik 5k if we can just buy the meta quest RIGHT NOW for only 500$
@PhenomenonAnimates Says:
Honestly the whole shared experiences thing shouldnt change. People need to interact with people REAL time with REAL PEOPLE

It looks cool but my biggest question is WHY??????

@jrod1577 Says:
5:00 the Microsoft hololense did this several years ago. I personally tested the system out and I was able to see a shared "whiteboard" in the room and there was multiple objects on a blank table in the room that we could all grab and manipupate. With a lack of marketing, high cost, very short list of programs and games usable within it, I can see why it didnt become more popular. Even today, there is very little reason to have one unless you have a very niche thing your doing that could use the headset such as training someone on assembly line work ahead of time before throwing them into the actual assembly line.
@Michael-qs5sz Says:
4:10 what app is that?
@mowenyao Says:
I don’t why they didn’t make a virtual keyboard that can be used by all fingers just like real keyboard does. ???? would it be a game changing?

Imagine this usecase of environments. Astronauts if they use this, the kind of mental stability they can get. What's your opinion?
@user-rc3gw8vs3c Says:
almost 7500 comments, someone probably already suggested it, but imagine connecting to an iPhone. Determining your location, use the iPhones gps. iPhone could also be used as a pointing device and more. Could see a thousand uses for connecting the two. From the HoloLens what stays with me is that air-tapping and gestures are tiresome. Having a real object to interact with could make the experience so much better. A digital assistant that can interact with the virtual world. Spawning apps. Ok, maybe current iPhone are a bit too heavy. Just thinking out load here 🙂. But shared experiences are a must to go beyond gadget. I am a little disappointed by the lack of imagination from Apple in the possibilities. This device could add magic to the world. Think Harry Potter for Mixed Reality. I would like to be able to use a wand and spells. Accio Pizza!

As a non apple user I'm blown away at the lack of integration between this and the iPhone. Why are you Apple users in this walled garden again?
@jeremiahjahn Says:
Yep, scan my keyboard, and give me multiple apps/ virtual desktops. I want a full blown workstation in a headset, even if it's just displaying remote desktops like Xwindows.

@themountainfern Says:
This feels eerily similar to the vids on iPhone should have features out on other phones already. IPhone waits for everyone else to fail and refine so they can come out with the "cream of the crop" years later.
