It snot a phone anymore, for most of the people its a single computer they have in their lives. So the big screen is required for the only device you have to consime the content properly. Also everybody adapted aeverythimg to big phones, bags,.pockets, furtniture, cars

I hate big phones. Always bought the smallest iPhone.. I have a tv, I have a laptop, I have a tablet. Let me have a phone for my baby hands

Small phones are one of those things that seem good in your head, but just not in everyday practical use. People can make the argument that you can't use it one handed, but I never did anyway. Comfort is always using a phone with two hands, big or small. People could also make an argument about fitting it in the pocket, yet I usually simply buy trousers with larger pockets to compensate. I actually went back to my smaller screens to take a look and play with them eveey now and again to keep the battery good in the older phones I still have. The first thing that comes to mind everytime i do this is just how uncomfortable and cramped the experience is (the physical front display buttons probably exacerbate this feeling even more so). I find I'm scrolling a lot more on web pages, emails, app stores, texts, and everything because the screen doesn't display anything I want to see.

i dont get it there is still plenty of small phones the same size of the zenphone 10, like s23, s24, iphone std.
@cupofjoen Says:
I guess because most of the global sales are in developing countries where people still have that mindset "the bigger the better"? ROG phones won't exists if people who lives in those countries are screaming for it and they're always the most critical and demanding when it comes to feature.

Got the 13 mini. I love it. Good for travel doesn’t bother me at work. Won’t upgrade until it’s dead. I do miss bigger phones but I don’t miss how it feels in my pocket
@heathersyvilla9617 Says:
I still have my iPhone 7😂. As a tattooer I live off my iPad really so I don’t need a fancy phone.
@louiemantia Says:
put the pro camera in a tiny phone and see how it goes. I think perhaps part of this is just that when people buy a new phone they want the best. if they keep making the best equated with the biggest, then... the biggest will continue to sell well and the miniature ones won’t. apple used to prioritize small and thin, and made that cool. it’s smallest and thinnest products were often the best you could get. now, the smaller version is equated to the weaker of the set.

yoo what game was that?
@ld2048 Says:
i only like the large screens because they fit my hands well, the s22+ is a perfect fit for me
@DanielWalters Says:
I'm a big guy. And I love small phones. Someone make a small folding phone. That's my dream.
@paulsiro1775 Says:
Bro , why were you in a coffin?
@tarfeef_4268 Says:
Watching from my ZF9. Yeah, I ain't gonna be getting the 11 or anything that size whenever I upgrade, that's for sure. I wonder why so many people don't get smaller phones. It's not like I have small hands, I can comfortably play octaves on the piano. But the zf9 feels comfortable, beyond that just isn't. And so many people I know complain about their bigger devices, but didn't just avoid those issues by getting something smaller. Drives me nuts cause them doing that is why I have no good options anymore!
@dillonk5573 Says:
still have iphone 12 mini I dont want a pocket tablet
@aincognito4878 Says:
maybe its cuz i got decent sized hands, maybe its somthing else, but im a big phone slut and cannot lie. it does suck that there aint high spec options for people who prefer the smaller phones tho, i just hate small phones
@PANTERALEO56 Says:
That's a legit coffin 🤣
@morsumbra9692 Says:
Five guys called the "little" burger little even though its almost the same amount of meat as a Mcdouble. They do this to "peer pressure" the consumer of not being little and buying a "regular" burger. If you call things little people will think it inferior. You call things big people will think theyre better. The trick would be to release an Iphone. And an Iphone MAX. Dont actually upgrade the bigger one other than be bigger, and only make like %5-10 of the "iphone" then charge a ridiculous upcharge on the MAX.
@ToyKeeper Says:
I miss small phones. I tried to buy one when my old one finally died, but there was literally nothing on the market in my price range.

"We" did no such thing

The 13 mini remains the best iPhone ever made, in my opinion.

Knowing most phones are pretty much tablets now makes me really sad. It kinda feels like tech companies spoon-fed us with useless features, and now we can't go back to small/pratical phones.
@Davexgridline Says:
Still clinging onto my 12 mini despite it being the only non USB-C device I have left. I didn't want a phablet in 2012 and I don't want one now
@mossgatherer1797 Says:
I would basically carry a tv screen with me if I could. Giant phones forever!
@Lynnfield3440 Says:
I still use a 2016SE lol.
@Leela_ya_Maaya Says:
The free thinking is gullible, it can be influenced and you end up with nothing you really want.
@randomproductions908 Says:
Idk why but now I want a super small phone😂
@dannyalexander826 Says:

5:34 "If things are getting negative reviews from youtubers, that must be why it died? Also not true!" I'm new to Marques Brownlee, does he say this often? or is it a pure coincidence that he said this *just* before the AI Pin review "controversy"? Also, thanks to all the twitter users with 3 braincells for creating the controversy and making me find this youtuber! I did hear about him from the "Tech N****" youtube search 'incident' years ago, but this is my first day actually watching his videos
@jnixo9900 Says:
I stuck with less than 6 inch screens for as long as I could because I loved smaller phones.. I didnt want a big phone. I got a galaxy s20 with 6.1 inch screen size. I am now use to it and dont mind it but there is no way I would go bigger. I dont understand how you dont feel like its a tablet if its any bigger.....lol
@chrisp9859 Says:
I hope flagship screens stay around 6.7-6.9 inches. A boon to those with bad eyesight and large hands.
@SnowyRVulpix Says:
Flagship phones are too small. I want something about the size of the iPad Mini. I guess this is why foldables are popular. Phones are no longer mainly for calling. Their primary purpose is as a computing device. And phones are easier to cart around than a laptop.
@eliasmartin8538 Says:
What stopped me for buying a small phone was the battery life
@alexbrown975 Says:
I have held onto my S8 for 7 years. I can't stand the size of the new phones, they just dont feel practical. I miss small flagship phones and I need a new one 😢
@robertcrystals Says:
The iPhone SE based off the iphone 4 was the perfect phone. Phone.
@michaelocyoung Says:
The best option nowadays for us stumpy-fingered folk is to go narrow+tall, so that's Sony Xperia 1 5 and 10. My 10 mk4 is only 1mm wider than my OG MotoG with less of a bezel so I can get to most of the screen with one thumb operation.
@kelvinyao5172 Says:
Apple shouldnt have developed a new mini in two consecutive years, but space them out like 1-2 generations in between. This way customers are forced to buy the upgrade, since there is no alternative.
@mehediofbd Says:
It pains me to watch this video..😭 RIP mini screens...
@DarkHannil Says:
What about brand like unihertz, they made the tiny jellyfish phone, but yes it's a budget one. I'm wondering if it's correct quality or not before to buy it.
@Djalanidhi Says:
my hands aint getting larger.... so i'm still being proud of using my small mini phone...
@CodyHimselfXI Says:
I'll keep my 12 mini until it's in bits and pieces.
