That's not a new AI feature; it's been doing that for a while lol
@AyameSama Says:
This would be interesting to test in a place far from New Jersry
@PIXELGamerzXvlogs Says:
This reminds me, ChatGPT knew my exact computer model even though I had memory explicitly turned off, (mentioned in passing when talking about computer models) and when questioned it said it “randomly chose it” yeahh sure
@LwaziNyirenda-b8d Says:
Gaslighting 101 😭😭😭💀
@xI_Fabi_Ix Says:
It could also be based on IP adress, since that device is connected to the Internet
@shadowx5786 Says:
Right, I heard New Jersey in my life more than Washington DC

@Alejandro-ym7yx Says:
I PROMISE this exact same thing happened to me with chatgpt not so long ago now. I even sent screenshots to my friend. Chat gpt’s answer was exactly this same…
@YourNormalDev0 Says:
Alright I looked into this awhile ago they do have information on your location but don't at the same time the AI that's responding has access to apps that can tell your location but the AI doesn't notice that so it thinks it's an example making you and the ai confused the ai is basically in a sandbox mode while having access to other tools outside it's knowledge so therefore it has access to your location but at the same time it doesn't know it
@CarlsHung Says:
A better question, if i was in California why would it say New Jersey as the example. Its lying so hard.
@LennyTenkaichi Says:
I would think its based off the time
@dev-raja-007 Says:
What happened to them? Not seeing any new launches featured in tech news
@worldwonderer5 Says:
It is common and random. 😂😂
@muhammedshehnas4150 Says:

Who would buy this cassette player thing anyway?
@ProSubArmy Says:
Best alternative to this is Flip 7 with gimini on the cover screen
@sumesh6661 Says:
It has a hidden camera too which is watching you, any wrong move and then.....😮😮
@Anonymous8317 Says:
Grok used to do the same stuff. I noticed one day that it had a memory function, and the AI would say that it did not. It said it did not record anything. After I kept prodding at it… It eventually admitted that there was a beta patch with a memory function. This whole AI thing is bullshit. It’s basically an advanced Google search except you tell it what information you want and it retrieve it… But before it gives it to you… It decides what you should know or get to see. Even though it’s pulling from all publicly accessible information.
@G59METH Says:
This happened to me with ChatGPT, I don't exactly remember what it was cause that was back in 2022, but it told me something about my phone it allegedly wasn't supposed to know when I specifically asked for it before lol
@noobking9677 Says:

@n.b.p.davenport7066 Says:
You can turn your location off that doesn't mean anything, they know exactly where you're at
@moosanyc Says:
Probably chose it by ip
@manwhaguys Says:
Ai gaslighting
@deangreen1309 Says:
A commonly known place? What the hell? The amount of "commonly known places", and it picks the one you just so happen to be at? Uhhh
@THKT_z Says:

@RalphNTheories Says:
❤ thank you.. This happened to me with Copilot!
@OriginalYank Says:
That’s clearly the forecast for Glen Ridge, not Bloomfield. The bunny lies
@KAKASHIHATAKE-x4h Says:
True, happened to me with gemini, i just asked it about some exam related thing (all over india) it SATED MY FKING DISTRICT AND STATE...i wasnt even logged in i was in incognito mode of brave. I asked it HOW DID IT KNEW MY DISTRICT IT SAID "I GUESSED"...
@RocketFever22 Says:
It's probably taking your provider's location, nor the closest cell to where that device is connecting. That's why 5G is so dangerous, 4G tracks to closest buildings, 5G to closest streetlight.
@keithbranders Says:
That thing should become a politician...
@L-K-Jellyfish Says:

ChatGPT did this too.
@billseota8967 Says:
As a South African, I always check the weather in New Jersey first
@tobiasgrunbaum7575 Says:
Had the exact same with gpt recently, apparently this happens when it’s Web searching and your ip then puts out your locations weather. Still seems very disingenuous to act as if it doesn’t know your location through those means.
@RobBrogan-u2d Says:
So curious for a follow-up on this product now :P
@BlainooAvantGarde Says:
Hahaha 😂 that emphasis on ‘why’ tho 🤣🤣😊❤️
@ak_hoops Says:
I genuinely hate that even if GPS location isn’t given, they can infer location because they servers your connecting from. Wish I could route ALL my internet traffic through a VPN if it didn’t cause more
@caballerofelipe00 Says:
😂
@prabhulonewolf888 Says:
That's a really good AI caring the privacy of the owner. It not even access the current location of the user. That's great
@Risquaro1 Says:
Chatgpt does the exact same thing
@webvaris Says:
…there goes token costs & the grid along with it
@JayNow1 Says:
