Bro. As brilliant as you are, I think you missed the point. I think you forget the fact that Tesla is a business. The humanoid form robot is an opportunity to enter into a market that is wide open as nobody dominates that space yet. Their business has always been to envision the future they want to create and then go for it. This is done with a thank me later attitude, and once they start believe in the product they start building. Building starts learning and learning gets better over time. Musk is a billionaire because he sees trusts and tries what few people see or try. Because Tesla is a trusted brand, positioning a product in the market like this is an amazing opportunity to learn. So while Boston Dynamics is leading with acrobatic capabilities. Tesla might end up creating the best companion robot for seniors, best communication, synthetic empathy, and so much more. Just my two cents from Trinidad 🇹🇹. Dave Cropper

7:17 while this does seem like sound logic, the benefit of a humanoid robot is that it could do anything a human can do. A vacuum robot is good for vacuuming, but not much else. A human robot could vacuum, fold your clothes, put the dishes in the dishwasher, put them away, dust the surfaces, put clutter into boxes, sort the fridge, even make food. That’s more efficient because then you don’t need a hundred robots for every small thing, and most robots to do these tasks would need some effort anyway, but a humanoid robot doesnt.

this video is became a joke after 5 years, everybody is developing ai robots now in 2025
@bigbrowntrout1 Says:
4 years later and you're right, still no humanoid available. Love your content. I actually couldn't disagree more with why the humanoid makes sense. Why not make a robot that works in a human environment, that can tackle multiple human sized tasks decently well. Yes, having a robot that is tailor made for vacuuming makes sense, but with all the things the Tesla bot can do you wouldn't want 50 different robots for 50 different tasks. It actually makes a heck of a lot of sense to me to have a diverse"Jack of all trades bot"...I just don't want it tapping my shoulder in my sleep 😅

Yeah it can take out those yellow jackets on the trail from my home to the lake.
@antoniosinas2851 Says:
If this robots are everywhere, if they go haywire with the control of a madman with the push of a button (I am not saying that Elon would do it, just like cancelling car Tesla car options with his computer!) This could be the start of extinction of humans.
@RedcoatTrooper Says:
Its strange but this vid seems really dated already, with the advances in AI and humanoid robots.
@iprincess239 Says:
So I can outrun it? I’m sure that wasn’t the purpose intended, but why would I have to outrun a robot? Will it eventually gain consciousness and endanger my life? If so, I shouldn’t be outrunning it because it should be coming for Elon musk, not me!
@iprincess239 Says:
Mmm, I’m getting Terminator vibes
@ComeAlongKay Says:
I don’t know, that would be a ton of robots to have for each job. Plus there’s just having them fit into the environment and seem normal though I guess specific robots can do that as well but it seems like you’d have a lot of them all over. Plus is that needed if the computing ability is good enough the whatever to be able to do it machine learning factor is good then seems like one robot to have to service and repair is better than upkeep on like fifty.
@minzungopa Says:
Who put dishes in the dishwasher? That’s what humanoid robots are for. Because you don’t want to do chores. Not because you don’t have the machines or convenient ways to do each task.

Been a pleasure to have ridden with ya Josey
@guatuso1 Says:
It's ok to buy Tesla and SpaceX products, but please don't buy/accept Elon's bullocks.
@guatuso1 Says:
Not true, none of it. Tesla & SpaceX are hardware producing companies that are operated with in-house software. The "Eye of God" system is much better by far. Please use the dictionary to define the term robot and then speak. Otherwise, you will have a sequence of errors and this doesn't help you and the customers. Thank you.

@troybody6662 Says:
We don't need robots. That's why we have kids to change the channel.
@troybody6662 Says:
Have you seen "Cop City"? They are now in every state. They are currently using drones in the Gaza strip. Elon is a Neo-Nazis. He is also from South Africa, and his robots haven't replaced the workers in the mines. We are about to have protests.
@morriswilliams1087 Says:
I saw a video that said they’re training them for a Mars project, ultimately.
@flightsimdev Says:
3 years later, it looks nothing like this and can't do anything and none have been sold, sound familiar?
@rjh4735 Says:
People are asking 6 questions about the Tesla robot: 1.) How frequently will it burst into flames? 2.) Which parts of it randomly fall off when it walks around? 2.) Is it cable of driving a Cybertruck to the car crusher? 3.) Can it be de-programmed to stop it from seig-heiling? 4.) Can it be de-programmed to stop it from fatally torturing animals like Musk is doing with his Nueralink? 5.) Why does it hate Jewish people?
@clay-sky Says:
7:40 this is obvious but they clearly are designing it as an all-encompassing robot with versatility. We don’t want 50 specific robots to do 50 specific tasks. I think the aim is for the robot to essentially become C3P0 (but with better movement) - a robot fused with ChatGPT, that can do domestic tasks and hang out, solving problems, acting as a loyal confidant to its master.

I think your take on consumer robotics and humanoid robots is going to age like milk.

I have another question Are they gonna turn evil?
@MJN.. Says:
I can't wait to see u review the Tesla robot after getting one.
@ayeshausman9276 Says:
i dont think we have enough info or creative juice in us to figure out what is their plan with it. And they will not tell and it may change course as it goes on.. but its thinking ahead for 20+y... and maybe a dead end.. but the journey will still bring lot of learning to use elsewhere.. maybe for mars - on the long journey you can not have specific robots all over the plane.. yet you need to grow food, prepare food, clean, and take lot of measurements what maybe easier with a robot than a human. or maybe for neuralink ... who knows but i think its good that some people company out there who have the money to toy with random ideas i would defo do sameish if i could just for the fun of it.. not everything has to be functional..
@jromero925ify Says:
The point of this robot is to do the every day tasks we perform. It will do the dishes, then move on to vacuuming the floor. If you made a "vacuum" robot. It won't be able to do the dishes.
@jromero925ify Says:
Tesla is a technology company
@sampathkrishna9476 Says:
Have you visited Visakhapatnam in india sometime about an year ago ? @mkbhd
@tkomonk3663 Says:
Totally wild how LLMs are changing our baseline for what is possible so quickly. Watching this back and seeing the ways things have changed just a few years later is wild.
@Shyskey Says:
Bro acts like I got all the money to buy specific robots to do stuff when I can spend it one time on a humanoid robot that finna be forever upgrading like iPhones as we do humans I see where your tryna go with the convo tho

"Five nights at Tesla" 💀
@427max Says:
This didn’t age well at all
@Shaynacarter2318 Says:
Yeah I seen I robot and the take over is what makes me not want one period while your robots will start forcing people to stay indoors or killing them there’s no way out of that I’m not getting one
@kiddaconcept Says:
The real question isn’t why but why not
@casvanmarcel Says:
This is such a bad take. Tesla bot and other humanoid bots will enable the next industrial revolution and more. It will be bigger than anything. It will change humanity at such a big scale you cannot even comprehend at this point Marques.
@igorbudko6133 Says:
A car company?! Lol Did you forget about SpaceX?
@omnione12 Says:
Why you buy a Robot Me: Hand me that remote
@alexruggeberg2570 Says:
I think you miss the point of the task dependent design. The ultimate task is to supplement as many human tasks and work within our world. Therefore a humanoid design is best as it resembles us.
@aparkour2011 Says:
Yeah, he basically lied. I mean when you’re building a robot you need to know the compartments that what makes a robot. Don’t just straight out. Tell us. Oh these are things that we need to put into a robot but there’s certain pieces and parts that will make a robot half a human and half robot that will do daily things and keep up with their parts, but Don’t forget robots are not meant to be human yet. We’re not there yet. You’re not even smart. you’re just you’re not even intelligent. You’re just smart. You only came up with these ideas for the robot but stop coming up with ideas that are going to make our world better. We really are not getting better. You just made it even worse.
@ladedricshaw1143 Says:

@syurjevic Says:
One upside of a human shaped robot is that you can eventually f**k it… you know it, and everyone else knows it 😂
