I don't know a lot about iphones, but I was under the impression that most iphone users are totally okay with their data being across multiple locations.. Sounds like I haven't been paying attention. Interested to see what up-to-date iPhone users think here. 🤷♀️
Though.. I MUST SAY- _With Samsung Messaging _*_pushing Google Messages on us,_*_ adding to their monopoly of our data.. it looks like we are heading that direction as well._ Thankfully, on an Android, we have a lot of options, though it's going to require a lot of research to find a trustworthy Messaging App & do our best to TRY to ensure that our data is safer in another app than Google & to it's cozy info exchange with the Gov..
Truthfully tho, I'm not really sure about apple options or if they have similar options that lack a hidden catch.. those are everywhere on pretty much any platform, any app, any browser, any OS. Ngl, I'm starting to feel a little hopeless - because I truthfully don't know enough to make confident decisions to ensure the safety of my data.. *_Knowledgeable suggestions/ direction to an informative source.._*_ via video or forum is _*_not only welcome.. I'm nearly desperate for help, here._*_ I would hate to make a fear based decision that doesn't align with my goals._

Its a problem here in the US. Kids are bullied at school if they dont have an iPhone, and green bubble are a social death sentence. Kids are left out of iMessage group chats because they dont have an Iphone. If you offered a high schooler a 5 year old iPhone or a brand new Google Pixel 9, they would take the iPhone. This is where we are at.
