These are tech demos to be fair, they aren't promised consumer products, they are show off devices to exemplify how good a company is at hardware. They are essentially showcase devices. It has investors and buyers going like "oh cool if they can do this crazy thing then their regular units are probably great and reliable!"
@DoodleDan Says:
Let me guess, they're the price of modern flagships lmao
@danielmoksmann5654 Says:
TCL's did become a real phone.
@Gekos04 Says:
Well TCL actually released the NXT Paper as a product which proofs that sometimes concepts do become reality

Sharp made something similar to the external lens in the Xiaomi concept phone - in the Aquos R8 and Aquos R8 pro. Unfortunately they are only available in Japan :( , they seem like very good and innovative phones.

Honestly, it Could be The future of Cooling Phones !! But This is not it.... I think ASUS ROG IS DOING IT BETTER VIA THAT FAN ON THE BACK AND THE FANS INSIDE THE PHONE, BUT THAT COMES AT THE PRICE OF HORRIBLE DUST RESISTANCE AND NO WATER PROTECTION
@sneakers6128 Says:
Smartphones are incredible because they don't have any active cooling yet still have amazing processing power. Why would you want a noisy fan or a fragile water jacket?
@seanet1310 Says:
Didn't TCL deliver their new screen tech in the end therefore it was not just a concept
@AutomatonsUnited Says:
The papermate made part of this video age horribly
@locky2287 Says:
On 2023 TCL made that paper-like screen mobile and released to markets
@sonofalfeus Says:

I've been searching everywhere, but cannot find the wallpaper in the background. It looks fantastic! Any idea where I can find it??
@nya.nyandrew Says:
TCL's entire marketing strategy right here!
@wuerhyueh Says:
I've always been fascinated by pop-up cameras. Mostly so that the screen doesn't have a weird camera hole and the back doesn't have to protrude to make the phone unbalanced. I'm not sure why this concept hasn't caught on...
@rawpie2 Says:
What is that wallpaper in the background!!!
@aeonvf Says:
Imagine dropping this on your face, went and Bloody, and very hot

That concept looks cool, hope it really works someday
@soroushmirzaee6888 Says:
Marquess How about project ARA?
@wile123456 Says:
They made the cooling worse by adding bubbles just so you can actually see it moving 💀
@Knightfire66 Says:
Foldables were concept phones… and still are
@alainchristian Says:
LMAOOOOOO those specs!
@EbonizerScourge Says:
1 minute less charging and +3 fps 😂😂😂. Also I really hate the idea about matte displays. Not only do they still reflect stuff, but the reflections are hazy. Nothing beats a glossy OLED with inky blacks and vibrant colors. There's just something stylish and luxurious to that shine.. ❤
@chemicalmethod5186 Says:
If this was an iPhone marques would have been extremely impressed 😅😅😅😅😅😅
@suponyimsong Says:
I'll check this phone after 3 years..i hope so😆
@gcarter1973 Says:
Absolutely pointless. Especially when it would be put in a case.
@raspas99 Says:
It's probably more than that I think they make those phones because they are half preparing into battle for competition. And then when competition does nothing they just chill out
@Bayazid266 Says:
Do a favour for me

Galileo once said, hundreds of years ago, that the problem with mixing ingenuity and commerce is that eventually, people quit trying to find new and better solutions because they aren't making enough money. I don't think anybody has, or will, know the answer to that problem, but it is the only thing keeping us from expanding really fast and from us seeing these awesome features, and other cooler ones, anytime soon.
@dmaahs Says:
This is design without engineering
@zainnyhere4576 Says:
Bro that's a Dope phone
@BadMonkeyMike Says:
You used to be one of my favorite youtubers but you never answer viewer questions. I guess your too good for that 🖕
@zer0nix Says:
Still waiting on a rollable phone like the ones from earth final conflict. A tube like design would also allow the addition of a built in zoom with a much larger optical sensor!
@illitero Says:
Shaming companies for playing around with concepts is a bad takeaway since the purpose of conceptual examples are not only for getting attention, but gauging reaction and interest in further pursuing design and engineering ideas. Pop Tech journalism's snide dismissal has already destroyed _actual_ creativity in mobile tech, so we're left with lower-risk ideas from the few companies left like the ones shown in the video because a precedent has been set that the public will be instructed to scoff at things that stand out in design or function.
@hamzasultan96 Says:
The only example you could come up with for Apple was type C? At least you know they don't innovate anymore and play it safe.
@BVLVI Says:
Your are the #1 when it comes to video quality on youtube. When are we getting MKBHDR! that's right HDR if you upgrade then others will most phones can do hdr! make it a thing! why not make your videos look better than every one else and really stand out.
