Just a word of caution – I bought my Google Buds based on this review and, to be fair, they really are great in most situations. Everything the reviewer mentioned is spot on, and they tick a lot of boxes. However, one big drawback that isn’t mentioned is how poorly they perform in windy conditions. The wind noise is so strong they become almost unusable outdoors, which was really disappointing.

Who's here in 2025
@pestydesperado8771 Says:
i love everything about these except that for some reason my anatomy is incompatible, they dont sit in my ears the way they do in this video or their advertisements no matter which ear tip i use
@SMAr2wo Says:
Tip if you got microphone feedback (beeeeeeeep) after a while (usually appears in one of the bud, while using transp. Or NC) - clean the buds holes with ear sticks soaked in water. With the other side (dry) , remove residuals. - use compressed air spray and blow from distance the mics (3 mics) and the driver from short distance 1cm, but leave enough space do not creat full pressure inside. Don't worry, the pressure will not affect the driver (speaker itself). Don't agitate that all the spray tube before using!

It feels like yesterday that we just lost the ability to use wired headphones. Now it’s simply feels normal to look for wireless earbuds.
@JonJon-v2j Says:
Now in 2025 have a amazing EQ
@jtcrypto9950 Says:
The Pro 2 buds are 27% smaller, louder, better, have a speaker in the case for find my device, and the noise canceling is much better!
@HernandezOperations Says:
ive decided to order a set after watching your video

The problem with these buds is exactly the same as the problem with the others in the range...i have A-series but i have had Pro too. You cannot be sure that when you put them back in the case and shut the case that they disconnect from your device and I'm not really sure why. So for example, I left my buds last night. Fully charged ready to run this morning. Both were in the case and the lid was shut. This morning the right hand bud is drained of battery because it has been connected to my phone all night. This is despite me using a different pair of headphones to listen to a podcast as I fell asleep. Sometimes it's the right headphone. Sometimes it's the left one. I do not have a case on the pixel bud's case either. I have read many reviews of people saying exactly the same thing so it is definitely not just myself. This is the biggest negative of the buds. The battery life is also quite poor being around. Perhaps two or 2.5 hours. The positives about these buds. The sound quality is excellent, Google assistant/Gemini is really good, the ANC is good... The comfort and the fit is also very good. And when I speak to people on the phone they say that the sound is also very good. It just drives me insane that for the price you cannot get the headphones to reliably disconnect from a device when in the case. Please Google sort this out!

I just got the Pixel A series ear Buds and it's my first time using wireless earphones. Don't really have much to compare them too.
@anthonym6202 Says:
Damn you can tell he loves him so much. He even says I loved that man.
@FreedomDaddy Says:
Got them yesterday for $99 Canadian. I like them. The volume could be better. It depends on the item you are listening to. Your video is fine .. but some music it would be nice if it was louder.
@instertwittynamehere Says:
Clearly reviewers are either fanboys or too scared to give an honest review in fear of losing any free stuff. The case is terrible. It's a known issue with the right bud constantly disconnecting if you can get it to stay connected, the fit is terrible, the sound is shocking no bass high end is tinny and mids are flat and shallow.
@diegowlp Says:
Just got them for 99 CAD, i am so happy
@pdodo388 Says:

@davidfuchs9779 Says:
Mine regularly have squeaking feedback that hurts my ears. I like them, but this is a no go.
@SpcGrdnr Says:
So should I get these or the new ones?
@trevors7809 Says:
I stan for Marques, but this is one review where he got it sooooooo wrong. These buds are TERRIBLE. The volume has never been addressed via software updates for starters. But the biggest issue with these buds is that any miniscule movement makes them pop out of your ears. It doesn't matter what size tips you try. My ears are big and I've never had this issue with any past buds from Sony, Soundcore, Oneplus, Beats, you name it. If you're doing anything other than staying completely still, these are useless. Even walking at a normal pace makes them slowly come out of your ears. Marques - are you still using these??!
@SP-wk9nr Says:
How do they compare to the Soundcore chain of earbuds?
@deepakmani8278 Says:
Is it good for iPhone?
@chaitanyamc Says:
I feel some voice distortion while listening on my headphones.

@HowToSandAFloor Says:
After having my second pair of AirPod gen 2 These are just terrible, the battery life of the case seems excessively short. The buds fall out of my ears, I can’t touch the buds without them going to the next track or pausing or deactivating noise cancellation. They fall out of my ears, they’re a pain in the ass to get out of the case they’re awkward to get back into the case, they’re awkward to get into your ear. The sound quality isn’t special in any way. I bought it because this sausage recommended it, now I know he just got paid the big bucks by google
@newfnshow031 Says:
dirty after a while... less than an hr these are the lowest earbuds I have ever tried they also sound terrible but you can barely hear them lol
@The_Savage_Wombat Says:
I got them. How do I get them out of the charging capsule? I'm going to get some dental tools to help. Also, how do you stop them from falling out of your ears? I tried the largest rubber thingeys and they still fall out.
@Nuclearcity88 Says:
I still didn't find a way to get the following: 1) Smartwatch (Galaxy Watch 1st Generation) paired with Pixel 7 2) Headset/Buds (help me to know which I have to get) connected to the Watch 3) Start a call from the watch and hear it on the Buds and also End it on the watch without having to pick the phone
@41linestreet Says:
Ok to be honest these earbuds are the best electronic product I've ever owned, full stop. I actually dropped one of my buds from the window of my 13th floor apt into a nearby garden and the bud just paired right back to my phone when I eventually found it, I had it tested afterwards and neither the noise cancelling nor the sound quality or volume had been affected at all. Been using them pretty much daily for over two years and never dipped in performance, they work as they did on day 1. The sound is excellent, the noise cancelling is phenomenal, awesome battery life, very comfortable to wear hours in end, microphone so crisp I can have great sounding phone calls and online meetings, the background noise canceling is also impressive. Great hardware controls, great app as well. I hope Google could finally figure out its terrible virtual assistant situation, voice controls can be really finicky and annoying, for an otherwise a perfect experience. Kudos to Google for such an amazing and complete product. Top notch. 5/5 stars
@c4dsince78 Says:
How is there no mention of microphone/call quality, when you will inevitably be using them to answer phone calls? The last pair of Anker ear buds I bought gets nothing but complaints about voice clarity, when I try to hold a conversation using them. In fact, at this point, I care more about call quality than I do sound quality of media playback.
@ErickAnderson88 Says:
Why do they fall out of the ear? So dumb to create earphones that fall out.
@dragon2knight Says:
QUICK UPDATE for those who want these in 2024: 1) The EQ is here and it works flawlessly 2) They get a bit louder now after some updates 3) The price is no where near $200, they are on sale all the time and I've seen them all the way down to $120 or for free with a Pixel phone purchase....no brainer buy for real! Great review Marques, you nailed it then and it's still great now 🙂
@dplj4428 Says:
9:45 For any brand, I use Google's Sound Amplifier app on my Android. I didn't find it in Apple's app store. Sometimes apps from other brands might be worth trying.
@wizard_eyes Says:
But they are so huge! They look goofy in the ear
@DreamyAbaddon Says:
I'm using this right now and it's insanely good. Like my A/C is on and it's loud but when I put these on all of the sudden I don't hear the A/C fans anymore and this is before I play a song... Just mind blowing
